Life in Seattle Brings Me Winter Beach Excursions I love heading to the beach on a sunny winter day! One of my favorite places to go is Long Beach, which is about three hours from Downtown Seattle. I feel like the beach is all mine as we drive down the strand and discover what has washed up on the shore. Just another reason to love Living in Seattle. Downtown Seattle Buildings are amazing to look at! You can find classic designs, art deco, contemporary and Green buildings all on the same block here! I have found living in Seattle to be a daily adventure. Here are a few highlights from a walk about in a three block radius!

University District Architectural Heaven Traveling four miles from downtown Seattle to the U District, I discovered some wonderful buildings underneath the vibrant colored autumn leaves. Always loving old brick buildings, leaded windows, elaborate archways, water features and iron gates, I was definitely in the right place to get into an architectural overload state of mind!
Such intricate details on this old building, and I love the leaded windows!
Brick buildings represent a long lasting accomplishment to me.
How's that for an archway?

Pikes Place Parking in Seattle, Washington may appear overwhelming and that is when you know you have arrived. It is worth the wait to experience the high energy of the market. Being that there are hundreds of vendors selling everything from bananas to handbags, make sure you set aside enough money for parking. $8 for up to two hours may seem like a great deal, however, there is so much to look at you are best served to be an early bird.
