A friend shared with me today some very valuable information that I would like to pass on to those of you, who are like myself and oblivious to a service available on every cellular phone in Illinois (and some other states).  It is the *77 feature.  Dialing *77 was verified, was immediately connected to the Illinois State Police Emergency Dispatch after one ring.   You can and should use this number in addition to 911 anytime you fear for your safety. The dispatcher was queried whether this *77 feature really worked as advertised and she confirmed that when you dial *77 from your cellular phone you will be … (0 comments)

Spring has sprung in Naperville. Yes, Napervillians live in a bubble and the real estate market is no exception. The buyers are out. Correctly priced homes are moving quickly. Buyers are well educated and know a deal when they see one. In the past month, 24 homes over $1 Million have gone under contract. Entry level pricing continues to get higher, pushing the 300K mark for a Single Family home with 2 car garage and basement. Yes, Virginia there is still a market, contrary to popular belief. Naperville passed a mirror-image SB 500 ordinance for Naperville.  (SB 500 is the smoke-free ordinance that the Illinois Senate passed by a vote of 6 to 2. They are now awaiting a vote in the House.)  The yes's were:  Ellingson, Senger, Furstenau, Wehrli, Krause and  Miller.  The no's were Rosanova.  Pradel was absent.
This ordinance, in most ways, is more restrictive than the original ordinance Naperville was discussing.  The exception being that smoking is still allowed on patios.  The ordinance will go into effect on January 1, 2008.

I just read a post on our company intranet. john greene, Realtor - Naperville South office.  A fellow realtor was looking for either a lender, or a rent to own, or an owner financed property.  Why?  Because his client was a victim of identity theft.  "She's a nice client, with a good income that is solid" he goes on to explain.  Dont' let this happen to you!!

Yes, Naperville has a test track!   There's such a preponderance of automobile dealers stacked along Ogden Ave. & Aurora Ave., that when dealership customers took their prospective new vehicles out on the road for a spin it was becoming a little dicey in the surrounding neighborhoods.
