Why Inspect a home? - 10/17/07 08:20 AM
The other day, I wrote a post about a home I inspected - It's a Dead Deal. I was looking at it and thinking that i was proud that my report had made the buyer re-think his decision to buy the house. Now, I must tell you, I DON'T try to influence that decision, nor do I go looking for defects in a house. My mindset, when i arrive for an inspection, is to learn everything I can about that home, so that I can pass that knowledge on to my client. In my mind, he or she has already bought

I wrote a post a while back - I Am Not a Deal Killer - and I have to admit I think I have killed one... Now, I have to clarify, I don't inspect a home with the intent to find something to make the house look bad, and I always start an inspection with my attitute in check. My intent is to find out everything about the house so that I can pass this info on to the buyer. In the process, many minor issues and concerns come up.
