We will be doing some recently scheduled maintenance at 7pm Pacific Time this evening, Monday February 27th on the database for ActiveRain.
We don't know the exact amount of down time for the site, but we will have a full team working on some upgrades to work out some of the error screens you have been receiving the last couple of days.
The infamous 'lost my keys' and 'pear shaped' messages you have undoubtedly seen will be getting some ironing out so that the actual pages that are to display will begin showing.

I would like to apologize to everyone for the issues regarding ActiveRain.  I know you must be tired of the "we're working on it" answer but it's the truth.  Our developers are taking shifts to continue to get this fine machine running smoothly again.
We had to do the server switch.  It's a big job that will benefit the good of AR although it may not feel like it right now.  Prior to the server switch, I had propositioned 100 members to help me with testing.  In doing so they relieved many issues that we as a Community are not burdened … (98 comments)

To start off the new year, Beth and the team at Adobe EchoSign hosted a contest on ActiveRain that forced us to look at our feelings on trust. There were well over 200 submissions and we had the pleasure (actually, it was painstakingly difficult, so I'm not sure pleasure is the correct word) of reviewing all of these submissions and coming up with a top ten to put in front of the members for a vote.

On Tuesday evening, February 14th, starting at 8pm Pacific Time ActiveRain will be down for scheduled updates to our servers.  ActiveRain will be down until midnight or 12:00am on Wednesday morning.  
Updated: On Thursday Evening, February 16th, starting at 8pm Pacific Time, ActiveRain will be down for scheduled updates to our servers. We expect this downtime to last for 4 hours, until Midnight Pacific time.
