Trying to sell your home in this tough market can be extremly difficult, if you do not have the right tools. Here is a short list that I put together to help you.
1. Start educating your self about the market. (How can you sell a home with out knowing the details of the market you plan to list your home in).
2. Are you getting behind in payments? (Take a short sale course, this can help you tremendously)!
3. Do not over price your home! That will kill the deal before you even have one and it only makes the home down the street from you look a lot better.
4. What type of loan would your home qualify for?
5. Educate your self on real estate contracts, we have all types.
6. If you live in a rural area, find out if your home qualifies for the USDA financing! That is a great selling tool.
7. Make sure buyers are qualified ( pre approved for the purchase price of your propery).
8. Now for the fun stuff, take pictures of your property, put a sign out, list your property on every website possible, hold a open house, make sure your property is available for viewing, send out post cards letting everyone know about this new great listing, tell everyone you see and talk to about your home that you have for sale, your home needs exposure in order to sell!
