MY MOST ROMANTIC REAL ESTATE STORY

EVERY DAY AS A REALTOR IS BOTH A NEW ADVENTURE AND A LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

EVERYDAY IN LIVE IS ALSO AN ADVENTURE AND AS MY DADDY ALWAYS SAYS IF YOUR NOT LEARNING YOUR NOT LIVING (I LOVE YOU DAD).

BEFORE I WAS A REALTOR AND FAST APPROACHING MY 30TH BIRTHDAY. MY BIOLOGICAL CLOCK WAS TICKING AND I HAD AN ON AND OFF AGAIN BOYFRIEND WHO HAD TOLD ME HE DID NOT WANT TO GET MARRIED.

I DID WHAT ANY SENSIBLE SINGLE WOMAN WOULD DO. I CONTINUED TO DATE HIM AND PRETENED HE HAD NEVER SAID THAT.

A FEW MONTHS LATER HE BROKE UP WITH ME AND AGAIN LIKE ANY SENSIBLE SINGLE WOMAN WOULD DO. I CONTINUED TO CALL HIM AND YOU KNOW JUST HAPPEN TO BE WHERE HE WAS.

WHEN THE BIG DAY CAME AND I TURNED THE BIG 3-0. I HAD AN EPITHANY. IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY OWN LIFE. I MADE A LIST OF WHAT I WANTED TO ACCOMPLISH. THE FIRST THING ON MY LIST WAS TO STOP RENTING AND TO PURCHASE A HOME OF MY OWN.

I HAD A DOWN PAYMENT AND I GOT PREQUALIFIED. THEN I DROVE AROUND LOOKING AT HOMES IN MY BUDGET. I FOUND ONE THAT WAS GOING TO BE GOING UP FOR AUCTION.

I NEEDED SOMEONE WHO KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT HOUSES TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. SO WHO DID I CALL....ONE GUESS. MR NONCOMMITMENT !

IT WAS EARLY SPRING AND AS WE WALKING AROUND THE PROPERTY HE SAID TO ME "I THINK WE SHOULD TAKE THIS THING WE HAVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL" MY RESPONSE WAS "YOU MEAN START DATEING" BUT NO HE ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM!!!!!

NINE MONTHS LATER (I DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE HIM TOO MUCH TIME TO CHANGE HIS MIND) WE BECAME HUSBAND AND WIFE.

HAPPY VALENTINESDAY TO MY BELOVED HUSBAND,FATHER OF OUR TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, PARTNER IN LIFE AND BEST FRIEND. TIL DEATH DO US PART. XOXOXOX

ADVENTURES IN REAL ESTATE

REAL PROPERTY

Every day as a REALTOR is a new adventure and a learning experience.

Today I negotiated a TRAMPOLINE!!!!!!

A Purchase and Sales Contract is written to include all Real Property.

Real Property is defined as property that is fastened down or an integral part of the homes structure, such as built in bookcases, lighting fixtures, trees etc.. It does not include refrigerators, washers, dryers, potted plants or TRAMPOLINES.

My client/buyer made an offer on a home that was accepted. She included in her offer a home inspection contingency. This home has a large TRAMPOLINE in the backyard which my client had asked for at the time of the offer but was denied.

During the home inspection it was discovered that work needed to be done to fix some plumbing problems. My client got an estimate from a local contractor and we went back to the REALTOR representing the seller and asked for a price reduction. The seller in return offered a smaller price reduction and the TRAMPOLINE.

My client jumped for joy and accepted the sellers counter offer.

Section 8 Homeownership Program

As a REALTOR every day is both a new adventure and a learning experience.

I recently worked with Willow, a single Mom of two toddlers working two jobs. Even with the two jobs Willow still needed assistance with her rent. Willow's dream was to have a home of her own for her and her children.

It didn't take long for us to find the perfect home for Willow, with a large backyard complete with a swing set and sandbox.

Now the challenge was getting the financing together.

Willow was able to convert her rent vouchers into Home Ownership Vouchers which helped her to qualify for a mortgage.

Willows' dream of homeownership came true.
