HI, Well, I know first hand that refrigerators with ice-makers definitely have their darker side. I had a flood in my lower level, caused by the hose that runs from the icemaker on the fridge to the water supply. The refrigerator was on the main floor, & the water supply in the ceiling of the lower level. Yep, you guessed it, the watewr line sprang a leak, which built up under the sheet rock on the ceiling, until S--S--P-LL-AAA-TTT! tHE SHEETROCK CAME CRASHING DOWN, due to water saturation, & by the time we arrived home, there was inches of water on the basement carpet. I called the restoration people & he said he gets about 2 calls a month from "ice-maker floods"  , But if a person uses the copper hose there is hardly any chance of a leak occuring. I hope this information can save some-one from having a flood!! HAVE A GREAT DAY  SANDY p.s WAnna buy or sell a house?
