Chasing the Points Up The Pole - 02/18/12 08:26 AM
Do you ever feel like you are chasing the points up the pole here on AR? Just when you hit a milestone...someone else beats you to it? DO you ever feel like that pole is greased? I feel that way sometimes. Not in a bad way...and not in a way that is upsetting...just that it seems if I take a day or two off...I have slipped back down the pole three or four feet. I sometimes wonder how many total hours are spent on AR by all 219,000+ of us and how much bandwidth we take up and how many family

Re-Blogs...I Think There is Place for Them...But 7 Re-blogs by One Person in One day? - 02/13/12 09:58 PM
I read a couple of re-blogs a few minutes ago...great blogs that were re-blogged by the same re-blogger. I clicked on "next" at the bottom of the blog page and read another...and another...and another...and another...and YES...another. All from the same re-blogger. All great original blogs. And a couple that I could have possibly missed...including one I even commented on his blog about. Then I noticed something...all of these original blogs are this weeks "Featured Posts". Now generally...at least in my book...it is a no-brainer that you can reblog a Feature since most features have relevent material. And not even read them. Where

I hope you Had a Great 02-12-2012 or 2-12-12 - Numbers are So Crazy to Track! - 02/12/12 11:51 PM
As 02-12-2012 comes to and end...I hope it was a great day for you. Perhaps you went with 2-12-12. If you did not realize that this crazy number thing was happening today...don't worry...02-21-12 is only 9 days away or is that 2-21-12? And then of course there will be the big one late in the year... 12-12-12! Followed up closely by the apocolyptic date of 12-21-12. If the world does not end as the "Mayans" predict (on a side note...I predict the world will not end...if I am wrong of course I am sure some of you will point that out

Hmmm...What Should I do On Sunday Now That It Has Finally Snowed? - 02/04/12 11:32 PM
Welll...after the warmest January ever...it started raining yesterday and after getting a strong half inch of rain it changed to snow and left us a very wet 8-12 inches depending on where you are around here. Of course the "official" recorder of moisture in our fine city said we only received 7". I guess he (or she) was not in our neck of the woods as we had well over 10". Even in the lowest spots...we had over 7" and where it drifted up to 24". If the trees withstand the heavy snow and melt tomorrow, we will emerge from this

Today is the Day College Coaches Must Feel Like Real Estate Agents!! - 02/01/12 10:49 PM
Today was committment day for high school athletes. If they want to commit to a certain college to play sports at...today is the day the can officially do that. It is the first day scholarships can officially be offered to them. Coaching college sports has a lot of similarities to selling resl estate, Some positive and some not. You see...today was the day some coaches had their new potential listing (player) snagged by another coach (agent) and school (real estate company). It isn;t that the coach did anything wrong...the other coach may have done a better recruiting job or the player (home owner)
