I am Confused...Why are There "Rescue Operations" in Louisiana? - 08/29/12 08:31 PM
I am befuddled...confused...perplexed...confounded...why I am even disconbobulated.  Why are there so many people needing rescue from a storm that was predicted last week....why did they not evacuate before Hurricane Isaac hit?
I want to feel bad for these people...I really do...but it ain't happening this time...not like last time when it was Katrina.
I see that the National Guard is now out rescuing people that did not leave and now are "screaming away" to be rescued...from the roofs of their mobile homes...really?  A mobile home? Come on Man
The weather forecasters said for days this could happen...the authorities said to leave since … (4 comments)

The 2012 Harvest has Started and Yields are WAAAAAY Down! - 08/29/12 06:58 AM
The Harvest has started very early in the Midwest this year and the results are not very encouraging. The drought has done a near Knock-out on this year’s crop. We are seeing yields down as much as 75% and I estimate the average when all crops are in at 40% under early season predictions. Some dryland crops will not even pay for the cost of harvest. Goodbye Pat... Why Do Great Neighbors Have to Move? - 08/24/12 06:38 AM
He was insistent...he was going to try doing a FSBO sale for 2 months...and if it didn't go under contract...he wanted to know who he should list with. As he had many times over the years we lived beside each other...he was looking for advice.
I never would have a shot at the listing because I rarely do homes anymore...only ag properties. Nor would I want it.
"He" is Pat...my former favorite neighbor...the one family that you hope you live by for decades...the guy that you wish you had as a brother or brother-in-law...that was always there for you when you needed … (4 comments)
