Via Michael Urbanski (USHUD.com): HUD listings are in constant fluctuation depending on how many lending institutions are foreclosing on how many houses in a given time frame. Even with TARP providing federal funds to banks and mortgage firms through the Home Affordable Mortgage Program to help stuggling homeowners, foreclosures continue in alarming numbers. Before HUD lists a property for sale, it of course has taken title and paid the banking institution for their loss on the mortgage. But even after HUD has taken title and added the home to its inventory of homes, several steps must me taken. HEre's the breakdown: (1 comments)

Until recently, appraisers did non necessarily have the benefit of having gas and electric service. How could they give a reasonable determination of foreclosure home value without knowing if the plumbing, electric, heating and air conditioning are in (0 comments)

We still have time... Secure a Lender Quickly for Tax Credit - 02/17/10 10:24 AM
Daily Real Estate News Secure a Lender Quickly for Tax Credit Home buyers who are eager to close the deal before the tax credit expires should be prepared to deal only with lenders who will respond to the need for speed.Even buyers without A-plus credit should be able to get a loan. "If you go to enough lenders, you can typically get a loan even with a low credit score. The terms, of course, are not as attractive," says Spencer Rascoff, chief operating officer of Zillow.com.
