Hi Everyone,
I am hoping that I may be able to reach a few people who want to help Julie Wilcox, a woman in my community in Harford County, Maryland. She has stage 4 cancer and is trying to earn the Stephanie Wasson award thru the Komen Foundation. Stephanie Wasson was also a young mom in my community with breast cancer. Sadly, she passed away from the disease. However, she raised so much money for the foundation that there is now an award in her name.

With the BRAC movement in the Harford County, Maryland area, Realtors are seeing a large number of families from N.J. being transferred to the base here called Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Many of these people will be moving in the next year or two. However, to get used to the idea and to see what the location change will bring, they are asking Realtors such as myself to show them homes.

I was so saddened to hear of Tim Russert's sudden passing today. He was always so informative and pleasant to listen to. He was the guru of election reporting and predicting and I'm sure he was looking forward to the pending presidential election. My heart goes out to his family.

I went to my neighborhood book club this evening. We were discussing "The Zookeeper's Wife" a true story about a zookeeper and his family in Warsaw during WWII. Very interesting, but sad.
After discussing the book, I asked about the rumors of coyote sightings in the neighborhood. A few women had seen it walking in the backyards. My husband and I had heard weird noises among the usual chorus of frogs in my neighbor's pool the other night and we didn't know what the heck it was. Just wanted to share an idea that may seem small, but I'm hoping every bit counts. I volunteered for years with my daughter at a cat shelter.
