Ahwatukee has 6 city parks.  All parks have play structures for multiple age group, basketball, ample parking, tennis courts, mountain views, bathrooms and covered picnic area.
 
Pecos Park has a Mini City Hall, indoor basketball court, dog park, splash pad, soccer fields, pool with water slides and even a skate park.
 
Vista Canyon Park located adjacent to Desert Vista High School is a common place to find teenagers running, playing Lacrosse or even practicing for the marching band. It has the fewest amenities of all the parks but has a lot of grassy space and flexibility for activities.
