Late this afternoon, City Manager, Pat Glover announced his selection for the position of Director of Redevelopment; long time Chino employee Kathy Blomo.

"Kathy was worked for the City for many years, and I think she is a great fit for this position," said Pat Glover.

Kathy started her career with the City in 1990 as a Management Assistant II in the City Manager's Office. From there, she went on to receive several promotions to include her appointment to the position of Assistant to the City Manager in 1992, followed by a promotion to Deputy City Manager in 1995 before becoming the Interim City Manager / Redevelopment Agency Director in 1996. She then went on to work for the City as a consultant until March of 2006, when she accepted part-time employment as a Special Projects Administrator.

Kathy holds a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration, with an emphasis in Urban Planning and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.

"Kathy's first day as the Director of Redevelopment will be February 4th," said Pat Glover, "and I know she will be a great asset to the community in this position."
