BMW/Oracle Wins The America's Cup!!!!!   As the sun was setting in Valencia, BMW/Oracle won the second and deciding race to win the Ameraica's Cup.  The race did not start until 1625 yesterday.  They were not sure they were going to get a race off as the Race Committee waited for steady winds across the triangle course.  Alinghi drew a penalty at the start again, but both boats headed off on the first upwind leg with Alinghi ahead at the first cross.  USA 17 tacked away, and was almost up to Alinghi near the top mark.  When they got to the windward … (2 comments)

I sent my cousin in   Fayetteville ,   N.C.  (retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at  Ft.   Hood  .. I got this reply: What is even better is the fact George W. According to John Rutledge Director of ALA in Lake Arrowhead who manage the lake it is full! They are opening the control gares to allow some run off through Willow Creek down to Hesperia and the Mojave Watershed. Current lake levels are 5,107.03 and a brisk temp of 41.7 degrees. Having the lake full this early in the season will assure an awesome Summer for all and much needed water to the low land communities
