Air Sampling for Utah Mold Inspections I often tell Utah home owners they don't need to hire me to tell them they have mold. Every single house in Utah has mold. We eat mold in our cereal and on our burgers and for the most part it's harmless. I don't know weather to believe my $16k Infrared Camera or my friend. I'm hearing one thing, but my Infrared Camera is showing me another, haha.
In the Infrared home and building Inspection industry I've learned that my Infrared Camera always shows and tells the truth.

Thermal Imaging of Buildings, Hotels, and Casinos - 11/29/10 02:37 AM
While attending FLIR's Infrared Training Conference in Las Vegas, I was able to capture quite a few Casino Thermal Images. I can't think of a better thing for a town than to host an Infrared Training Conference. With several thousand Infrared Thermographers from all over the world, there were few buildings or hotels that didn't receive Infrared scans identifying problems of all sorts.













And of course I'll throw in a FEW defects I detected.

These are defective windows. The circular pattern indicates the thermal seals being defective.

Thanksgiving at SnowBasin Ski Resort, Utah - 11/28/10 04:49 AM
SnowBasin had quite a turnout for Turkey and Skiing this Thanksgiving. Early morning(9am) the lines to the lift were as long as I have ever seen them. The Turkey feast was served an then people started dropping like flys(heading home). The long absence from skiing combined with a big feast proved to take it's toll on the majority of us out of shape skiers.
Luckily I took a bit of a break for some Thermal Imaging and caught my second wind for some great afternoon skiing. I bought my first season pass this year so I'm anticipating one of our best … (2 comments)

Construction work and hotel guests just don't mix! Nearly EVERY hotel I stay in I find defects that are either costing the owner money(energy concerns), about to be costing the owner money(moisture problems), or other numerous building defects that could all be immediately identified and corrected by a simple infrared scan.

If a hotel has 100 rooms than that's 100 possible shower pan leaks, sink leaks, toilet valve leaks, window leaks, etc... The most common way for hotel owners to identify leaks is to wait for the visual signs of moisture damage. … (0 comments)

The energy wasted in 75,000 homes in the US annually equals the amount of energy wasted in the Gulf Horizon Oil Spill.
