Because no matter how experienced the home inspector, Many things simply cannot be seen without Infrared Technology Infrared allows us to immediately detect what flashlights so commonly miss ♦ Electrical faults before they cause a fire ♦Overloaded and undersized circuits ♦Circuit breakers in need of replacement ♦Moisture intrusion that could lead to mold ♦Possible pest or varmit infestation ♦ Roof leaks, before causing major damage ♦ Air conditioner compressor leaks ♦ Structural defects and their causes ♦ Broken seals in (6 comments)
Thermal Imaging is the only way to see the true condition of a home before the purchase. A conventional flashlight home inspection is essential but thermal imaging is equally if not more essential in determing the true condition of a home. Don't try an pick and choose between these two inspection methods but instead find a home inspector that is certified in both home inspections and thermal imaging.
Many home inspectors offer thermal imaging at no additional charge so using a non-infrared inspector is paying for a service (2 comments)
Infrared Technology used during a home inspection offers the most advanced, in-depth, and informative home inspection available. Utah home buyers are quickly catching on to the amazing benefits provided by an Infrared Home and Building Inspections. Once a home buyer uses an Infrared Home Inspector there is little to no chance of them ever returning to the usual "peek an poke" flashlight inspection of the past. As You Can See, Mold Can Easily Be Cleaned Up, Covered Up, Or Hidden From The Naked Eye. Infrared Cameras Offer A Much More In-depth Inspection, But Still Want Substitue For a Lab Mold Test. Just because it's black doesn't mean that it is the "killer"(stachybotrys) stuff. Mold comes in differing types, shapes and colors. Most of the time the mold I find is nothing more (3 comments)
salt lake city home inspection: This Moisture Was Trying To Hide From My Infrared Camera During A Home Inspection In Ogden, Utah Today - 07/15/10 07:16 AM
This Moisture Was Trying To Hide From My Infrared Camera During A Home Inspection In Ogden, Utah Today! Infrared Home Inspectors have become moistures worst nightmare. Moisture can run but it can not hide(although it tries REALLY hard) from an infrared camera. This particular moisture was caused from a plumbing problem(faulty pipe fitting at upper level sink). The plumbing line had a slow leak that began to grow with time. The areas of BLUE show the moisture hiding behind the sheetrock. The moisture is moving across the ceiling and down the wall.
