This is one of the best times of the year for an Infrared Home Inspection. We've had a REALLY dry Utah Summer so now that the rains have started coming, moisture intrusions are easily detected during an Infrared Home Inspection. Moisture is the #1 source and cause of damage on Utah homes. Detecting moisture early is the key to preventing damage and costly repairs. Thermal Imaging is the best technology available for home buyers to get the most in-depth analysis of a home prior to purchase. Thermal Imaging can literally save a home (0 comments)
Ogden Utah Infrared Home Inspections offer numerous additional benefits over the average flashlight inspection while not adding any additional inspection costs.
utah infrared: Why your Salt Lake City Home Inspector Needs Thermal Imaging - 08/14/12 04:53 PM
Why your Salt Lake City Home Inspector Needs Thermal Imaging It's unfortunate that not all Salt Lake City Home Inspectors use Thermal Imaging but that day will soon be here. Every week more clients and Real Estate Agents are exposed to the enormous benefits provided by Infrared Home Inspections. On nearly every home I inspect, numerous things are exposed that would have never been exposed without the use of an Infrared Camera. A high resolution infrared camera can easily help uncover numerous concerns during a home inspection: -Hidden plumbing leaks -Plumbing blockages -Moisture/Mold Concerns -Roof Leaks -Foundation Moisture -Electrical Concerns that (0 comments)
utah infrared: Utah folks still trying to ski that one last run.. - 04/09/12 05:46 PM
It's hard to quit doing something that you love when you know you aren't going to get to do it again for 6-7 months. One last run keeps turning into ONE LAST RUN... People were sking in short sleeve shirts today at Brighton and Solitude ski resorts. I believe it's time to put the ski's away for the Summer!
utah infrared: When can a Utah Infrared Inspection offer tremendous benefits - 11/08/11 01:48 PM
When can a Utah Infrared Inspection offer tremendous benefits before Warranty expiration. before a Real Estate Investment. before a contractor begins work. after a completed project. to investigate suspected water intrusion problems in residential and commercial buildings. to prevent and predict equipment failure. to locate areas of energy loss. to detect roof leaks. to identify any moisture concerns or document moisture damage. Mold, It doesn't have to be the big scary monster that scares people away. With all the negative publicity and horror stories on the Internet, buyers often get far too worried when mold is mentioned in the inspection report.
A simple Infrared Scan can reveal any areas of hidden moisture and mold often eliminating many un-necessay worries.
Mold is like Superman ~ it's everywhere. Unless you live in a vacuum or in an operating room, spores occupy ever nook and cranny of your home. All you need (0 comments)

utah infrared: Affordable Ogden Utah Home Inspections with huge benefits. - 07/27/11 06:19 PM
Affordable Ogden Utah Home Inspections with huge benefits provides Ogden, Utah with the most informative home inspection available including advanced thermal imaging technology for the same costs as the average non-infrared inspector. We don't charge extra for thermal imaging because we believe it's essential in providing a quality home inspection. Thermal Imaging isn't used to discover far more defects to scare you away from a potential property. We use thermal imaging technology to give you far more knowledge on the concerns that are discovered so you know exactly what the problem is, where it's located, what's causing it, and the easiest (0 comments)
Combined with traditional home inspection techniques, thermal imaging has proven to reveal the most significant amount ofbeneficial information pertaining to the true condition of a home. Flashlights and the conventional inspection tools being used by 90% of todays home inspectors are practically obsolete compared to the advanced Thermal Imaging Equipment and inspection tools we use on every inspection. Many things will go un-noticed if your inspector doen't offer Infrared services over the typical $20 flashlight.

utah infrared: Salt Lake City Infrared Home Inspections Continue to Pay For Themselves - 06/06/11 06:50 PM
Salt Lake City Infrared Home Inspections Continue to Pay For Themselves I'm glad to say that the cost of all five Infrared home inspections that I preformed last week were re-gained by the home buyer. Infrared home inspections can identify many things that simply can't be detected by a normal home inspection. The concerns that were identifed in all of last weeks inspections were defects that couldn't be detected by the naked eye. Each defect were things the current home owner agreed to repair before the sale therefore saving the home buyer from inheriting the problem. The average infrared home inspection (0 comments)
utah infrared: Ogden Home Buyers Should Insist on Infrared Home Inspections - 05/31/11 09:43 AM
Ogden Home Buyers Should Insist on Infrared Home Inspections The benefits provided by an Infrared Home Inspection can't be denied. On nearly every home Inspection I provide, I uncover numerous things that simply can't be detected by the naked eye. I believe in the necessity of an Infrared inspection so strongly that even though I'm a certified home inspector, I will not even consider offering a home inspection without it. No matter how good the inspector, many things simply cannot be detected without the use of thermal imaging. Using a home inspector without Infrared Technology is about like using a dentist (1 comments)

utah infrared: Why is it so hard to keep my house cool? THE LIGHTS, REALLY! - 05/28/11 12:10 AM
Why is it so hard to keep my house cool, is what my client asked me the other day. After about 5 minutes of scanning the home with my infrared camera, I knew exactly what was a major contributor to the home's heat. THE LIGHTS! Many people don't realize just how much heat their light-bulbs are emitting. Incadescent lightbulbs are very cheap and very tempting to buy especially when compared to the price of LED lights. Buying incadesent bulbs offers a savings at the register but you can rest assured they are robbing you at home. Take a look at the (3 comments)
The benefits of an infrared home inspection so far outweigh a non-infrared inspection that I'd almost consider a non-infrared inspection to be obsolete. I personally couldn't imagine buying a property without first having an infrared inspection. If your buying a home without an infrared inspection than your taking a huge yet easily avoidable risk. An Infrared Home Inspection doesn't cost more than a flashlight inspection yet yields nearly double the benefits. Just a few of the ADDITIONAL benefits provided by thermal imaging are:
Being an Infrared Thermographer, I find capturing most all things in Infrared to be interesting. After doing an Infrared Home Inspection in Farmington Utah, I couldn't help but get the desire to see some roller coasters in Infrared. I was standing outside the fence taking images and then I was run off by security. Taking pictures of park goers is apparntly not accepted which is quite understandable. Here are a few of the Infrared images I did manage to capture
Utah Infrared Inspections has been providing the most advanced home inspections available in Ogden Utah for several years now. We use Infrared thermal imaging technology on EVERY home inspection no matter what the circumstances. We don't charge extra for thermal imaging services as we believe it to be absolutely essential for a quality home inspection. Picking a home inspector in Utah is about as risky as going to the casino and hoping to come home a winner. There are no State requirements to be a home inspector. The inspection industry has a huge amount of (0 comments)

Nearly every week I find at-least 1-2 roof leaks while preforming Infrared Home Inspections in the Ogden area. I usually spot roof leaks in the same area which is nearly always around the chimney or plumbing vent pipes. A quality roof shingle can keep the water out for 15-20+ years but the flashing sealants often fail much sooner. Utah roofs get water on them which freezes and expands which can cause sealants to pull away from the flashing or vent pipe boots allowing moisture intrusion. In general, Home Owners should inspect (2 comments)
I ended up spending $45 dollars but it was a $45 dollars that was well spent. I did terrible in the Texas Hold-um competition as I was eliminated in the first round. I lost it all when I went all in after being dealt pocket aces and there was little to nothing of value on the table(after the flop). A low card 3 of a kind took me out! I believe they had the best barbecue I've (0 comments)
