ROUND ROCK HOMES! - 12/30/08 01:33 PM

 ROUND ROCK, TEXAS!
Kiplinger's Personal Finance in May 2008 released its rankings of best places to live, work and play, and the Austin-Round Rock metro area ranked No. 6.
According to Kiplinger's, the ranking looks for places with "strong economies and abundant jobs, then demand reasonable living costs and plenty of fun things to do."
Jane Bennett Clark, Senior Associate Editor, had this to say about Round Rock: "This family-oriented suburb boasts topnotch public schools along with a local economy that includes Dell, three hospitals and a brisk business in sports tourism thanks to the playing fields it rents out for tournaments."

A FISHING STORY... - 12/28/08 06:06 PM
Several years ago I was on a missions trip along the Sea of Cortez. After several days of grueling work, some of the locals wanted to invite us to go deep sea fishing. I had never been and was excited about the proposition.

Early the next morning we were taken out by a local to the deep waters. It was April and the whales had come in. It was very exciting to watch them up close. I also observed some dolphins at play, a sea turtle and a few seals.
After about an hour the captain moved the boat into open … (1 comments)

3 Red flags for Verde Oaks! - 12/27/08 12:14 PM

Here is a story about a Realtor who, in good faith, brought his client to visit a beautiful new apartment complex in North Austin. The first sign of trouble might have been that the staff seemed to turn over awe fully fast for a new complex. The people I met the first time I went on the pre-visit were mostly all gone.

The second red flag might have been the fact that everyone who worked there seemed to have trouble returning phone calls. When I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE! From the Mangement team to the leasing … (10 comments)

STONY POINT HELPS PUT ROUND ROCK ON THE HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL MAP!!! - 12/14/08 01:06 PM

I was in Waco at the home of the Baylor Bears yesterday to watch high school football. The Stony Point Tigers were facing the Allen Eagles in the State Semi finals of the 5A high school football. What an incredible game! I have a Freshman and Junior who attend Stony Point in Round Rock Texas and we are all so proud of our football team!
The Allen Eagles have been here before but few people knew anything about Round Rock Football (just 15 minutes North of Austin) and fewer still about Stony Point High School until yesterday. Danny Davis of … (0 comments)

THE QUESTION THAT WE NEED TO ASK? - 12/14/08 12:32 PM

Like you, I get hundreds of advertising emails each month. They tell of great bargains on clothing, computers, free materials to help me do a better job in my career field. To honest with you getting these emails does not bother me. I remember the days when all of this stuff came by snail mail and I had to sort through each letter and try to determine if the ad was of interest to me or my family. It did not long to have a trash can full of waisted paper advertising. Now I can sort through these … (1 comments)
