The federal budget passed in the House of Commons on Tuesday, ensuring the survival of the Conservative minority government.
Members of Parliament voted 125-90 in favour of the budget, which is a confidence matter. Had it not passed, the government would have fallen.
Many Liberals didn't show up for the crucial vote, but the few who did, including Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion, voted against the budget.
The Bloc and NDP also voted against the budget.
The budget, tabled Feb. 26, offered few big spending plans, centring instead on a new, tax-free personal savings plan for Canadians.
