It has been about a week or so since I posted a prayer request for a manager who wanted to hire me for an assistant manger position with KFC.
His father went into the hopsital for open heart surguery...
I have talked to the hiring manager today and HE went into the hospital also over the weekend.
Everything is fine with both men, I am glad to report.
There is only ONE hitch in all of this:
There is a hiring FREEZE on for KFC right now. I am over qualified for a shift supervisor position, BUT they cannot hire assitant managers right now because of the economy. I HAVE THE JOB...but they cannot hire me....
BOY am I being tested....... my car will not start and has NOT started since two weeks ago after I came home from the interview with KFC.
I DO have a person that will look into why it isn't starting.
The car has a NEW starter... as you have prob. read in my past account:
Well, it has not even been a day or two and I have ANOTHER prayer request from a listing agent I know. She and I are in negotiations between the owner and my buyer for a mobile home/RV park near Disney Property.
I have been trying to get the P&L statment and other pertinent figures for my buyer from the listing agent.
I e-mailed her this morning at about 10AM for the documents. It is around 6PM now and I had not heard a thing. So, I gave her a call.
She said she was not looking at and will not be seeing her e-mail today... she was taking a day off. I found that kind of unsual to be taking off a work day in the middle of the week, so I asked if there was anything going on I could pray for her about.
She gave a small laugh and told me it was for a friend of hers... the friends baby was in the hospital. I told her I would be praying...
I hope you all will join me in this prayer of love for this little creation of God. I do not know what is wrong, but I do know GOD DOES....
May the Lord bring this little one to complete health and happiness.... no little baby should have such trauma.....
I am in the middle of looking for a company to replace the lost income I had with Red Lobster.
Last week I had a great interview with the manager of a local Kentucky Fried Chicken. He gave me a form to sign for a background check and said he would get back to me.
I called him Monday morning for any news and he said,
"I have not made up my mind about who to hire yet...... There is a LOT going on and my dad is going into the hospital to have open heart surgery...I will get back to you by Thursday."
I told him I would pray for his dad... he thanked me and we hung up.
I am asking that you bring this mans fathers situation to the Lord... the mans name that interviewed me is Herb McKinney.
I know the Lord will guide you as to what to pray for.....
I am praying this surgery goes well and that the Lord is near to the whole family and gives them his comfort and peace.
I am sure my background check went well as he did not say anything to the contrary.
May the Lords will be done........

The central Florida real estate market is continuing to florish, according to sales numbers contrasting this year from last year.
44% MORE sales have been made year to date over last year.
38% more homes sold in May this year than in 2008.
Driving this sales wave are the homes in "Special Circumstances":
51% of homes sold this year were bank owned or "distress sales". The Knights Team reports on these homes in city and community market reports every week.
This has driven the median home price in central Florida down to $130,000.
The median price for "normal" homes being sold is $165,000 (Homes NOT being sold in distress situations), so home owners who sell their home and do not tap into their equity should make a good return on thier investment, assuming they have been in their home for around 5 years or more.
Pending sales are also WAY up over last year at this time:
There are over 6,600 homes currently pending to close, as opposed to about 3,200 last May.
3,400 of those homes under contract in May of this year were put into agreements in that month alone, which is a forward looking indicator of an further imporoving of the central Florida real estate market.
The first time homebuyer affordability index is WAY over 100%, which means any person making the reported median state income of $35,600 or more can purchase a home from the over 6,500 homes advertized in the regional central Florida MLS for $155,000 or less.

So many times I have read a post in the group or have seen a comment that has totally ministered to me and brought healing, wisdom, encouragement, and/or warning..... THAT is what "Christianity and Real Estate" is all about!!
We want to show everyone that there is a difference between those who life for themselves and those who live for the Messiah ~~~ Jesus.
It is a totally different type of lifestyle Jesus wants for us as Christians...to live like He does...and NOT like we THINK or even sometimes WANT to live in our own wisdom, insight or perception.
The guy above is one of the Ministers on staff at Faith Assembly. He is teaching the new membership class and right now we are in a part of the class called "The Blessed Life"...it is ALL about being an EXTRAVAGANT giver in life and what God will do when we live like that..... I can tell you I NEVER thought this was the way the Lord wanted me to be, because every time I gave a LOT of money to the kingdom of God, I ALWAYS got taken advantage of..... to the tune of MANY tens of thousands of dollars!!!
Thank goodness I did NOT get detoured from continuing to search for the truth and I have conformation that "Giving to GIVE" is THEE BEST way to live!! Let me explain that phrase right now..... Many TV Evangelists tell people to give to get a blessing. In this teaching at Faith Assembly, I have had it come into my soul and spirit that we are to Give so God can give MORE back to us, so we CAN GIVE EVEN MORE!!!
The first motive "Give to recieve a blessing" makes a person SELFISH. I do not think God is pleased at a persons heart that gives to receive a blessing. He is GLAD the gift (money, material possessions, etc.) is given, BUT the persons HEART has not been changed at all into a heart that Jesus lives through.....because the basic motive is selfish in nature. That person is only giving to receive something back.
NOW...think of the person who Gives to Bless...without thinking of receiving back ANYTHING...... God looks down from heaven and BLESSES that person and gives them MORE than they had before.... so they can GIVE MORE into Gods kingdom and to the poor, destitute and downtrodden. THAT is what this teaching is all about!!!
To say that the people I have met at Faith Assembly are special is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I have seen so MUCH generosity of heart at this church it is UNBELEIVEABLE!! These members of this church have taken to HEART the message Jesus has for us to GIVE to GIVE.....
Take their food ministry for instance....Angel Food Ministry.... this Ministry is for people who want to SAVE MONEY on buying GREAT quality food! I have no idea how it works.... BUT it is AWESOME!! You can get food for a family of FOUR for a whole month for MUCH less than it would cost you at WALMART !! THIS is NO JOKE!! I, as a single guy, can buy one of thier boxes of mixed meats (Chicken, Steak, etc.) and live from it for a MONTH...and it costs just $30.00 !!!
Now we go to the Singles Ministry..... seeing as I have been separated from my wife for over 2 years now, in my heart I am single..... if we get back together...I will be a very happy guy.... BUT for the mean time I am in the singles ministry because I do not have my wife living with me. Now... SOME people would balk at that....BUT I have NOT gone on a date with ANY of the ladies in the group, NOR have I expressed an interest in any of the ladies there either...I treat ALL the women there as sisters....NOT as potential future mates... and they respect me for that attitude. The leadership of this group of single Christians are examples of what it is to be a single person separated unto Gods work.
They are separated (the bible calls this being Holy) to HIM...TOTALLY and COMPLETELY!!! And it shows!!! The class "How NOT to Date a LOOSER" I am currently attending is all about how to spot and stay away from those who are NOT companionship material in a Christian sense. I wish I could go into all the details of the classes I have been to.... Everything out of the teachers mouth is straight from the Word of God... and it is AWESOME!! I am SOOOooooo glad to be a part of this group!!
The Singles Ministry is called, "Complete in Christ" which means if you are single, you do NOT NEED a mate, because the Lord Jesus your Messiah is everything you need! A LOT of people think they "need" a mate to "complete them" or to give them security or peace. The fact is... you do NOT NEED a mate to do ANY of those things.... our Messiah is ALL you need.... Some of the Apostles were single and were JUST FINE being that way. One of the Apostles said, the only really good reason to get married is that your passion overcomes you and you consistently BURN from it day in and day out.
When you get to the position of HARNESSING your passion and NOT being a slave to it day in and day out.... you do NOT have to marry. That is what this ministry is all about..... WOOHOO !!
God has brought me so much joy in being at this church... I have had to stop during the middle of service and weep for joy. I have NOT had to do this in a VERY LONG time.... and it is so welcome to me...that I actually LOOK for what the Lord is going to do next.... so I might rejoice in His goodness to me!
Having good examples of what a Christian is around me has brought such a wave of encouragement to me.... I am almost out of breath right now even thinking of it while I sit here and type out this post!!
I have NO idea what God is going to do in my life at this point.....
BUT I KNOW WHOM I TRUST

The central Florida real estate home market continues it's upward surge!!
Here are the market statistics for April 2009:
SEVEN times MORE homes were exchanged in the lower sales price ranges than upper price ranges.
75% of homes sold were less than $200,000 in price.
There has been almost double the number of sales transactions as this time last year.
The median price of Orlando homes sold in April ($132,900) decreased by over 37% compared to April 2008..this is GREAT news for home buyers looking to take advantage of the $8000.00 credit for new home buyers!!
Almost half of homes sold were in a distressed condition... (Bank owned, in foreclosure, etc.) I REGULARLY report on homes in this situation on ALL the Orlando and central Florida real estate market reports I give! YOU will find out what is happening and be able to take advantage of what is out there!
There are currently 20,194 homes available for purchase through the Orlando Regional Realtors® MLS.
The sales of condos in the Orlando area have increased by a staggering 167%.
148 condos in the price category that sold were in the $1 - $50,000 price range, nearly three times the number (49) that were sold in the next category ~~ $50,000 - $60,000. Do you see a trend here too?
Orlando real estate buyers purchased 148 duplexes, town homes, and villas in April 2009, which is over a 23% increase from April 2008 when 120 of these alternative housing types were purchased.
The majority of duplexes, town homes, and villas sold in April 2009 fell into the $100,000 - $120,000 price category.

Here is a Psalm that jumped out at me as I took a 3 day "Retreat" after I lost my servers position at Red Lobster 2 weeks ago.
To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed;
Do not let my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
How many times have YOU had enemies of Gods way (those who exalt money, sex, social standing and other things ABOVE a biblical saving relationship with our Creator through Jesus our Messiah) fight against you?
Now, mind you here, I am NOT talking about people who know no better and follow that they were taught as kids by their parents, and then blindly go along doing what they were taught and never "grow up" to question what they were taught by their parents.
I am talking about people who were taught the truth and REJECTED it and turned into enemies of God and His way .... in essence becoming YOUR enemy in the process.
The LAST verse I made out in BOLD up above is what finally happens to such people.
Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD. Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name's sake, O LORD,
I could go on and on about these verses, BUT they are self explanitory.
We need to be reminded EVERY DAY about how Jesus would do things, because of our sin nature AND the fact that this world system crowds out so many things in our quest for business in order to pay the bills and secure a future.
ALSO, a LOT of people wonder what the word HUMBLE means according to scripture (some think it means being a "doormat") ~~~ HECK, you MAY even THINK you KNOW what the word means too...and here is a post I made a while back that explains it, just in case you are curious about what the bible has to say about that word. When we stumble, God sees it and takes note of what we do about it.
Do we BLAME God, as if He MADE us do what we did?
Do we BLAME the Devil, as if he MADE us do what we did?
Do we ask forgiveness and cry in His presence, just as a child who was caught doing something bad and when put in front of it's parent(s), shows GENUINE SORROW about it? (NOT being sorry only that you were caught, but that it hurt the parents and the parents expected better actions / attitudes or response(s) from you).
If we do things the RIGHT way... you can SEE what happens in the rest of the Psalm! God our Heavenly Father, LOVES when we are REAL about our faults and mistakes..... and when we take responsibility for them.
As a result of my leaving Red Lobster I sent out MANY, MANY resumes via craigslist and the Orlando Sentinel online. I had several great interviews with very nice restuarants in the area also.
Unfortunately, I did NOT have the amount of fine dining experience needed to join the ranks of Houstons, P.F. Changs, or several of the other fine dining resturant franchises I went to visit.
I got a job with The International House of Pancakes here in Orlando.
What is FUNNY is that even though I am not with Red Lobster anymore, I am STILL re-hirable with Darden Restaurants, the company who owns all the Red Lobsters in the central Florida area.
I ALSO have a GOOD reference from the general manager at the unit I worked at.
NOW, you go and figure all that out ~ why was I let go in the first place??
