In this mornings edition of the Mississippi Press, I read that the remains of two historic homes in the Pascagoula Historic district will survive the demolition. Wahoo!
One of these homes date back to 1840, and the other somewhere around 1890-1910. It appears they have been nominated to be on the top 10 most endangered historic places, and ranked number five in the state. This may just keep them from being demolished due to the new city waterfront development under construction on the Pascagoula River.

Oh ! I just stepped outside and the full moon is lighting up the night, its pleasant and the humidity is gone for the day. Tomorrow is Labor Day, and already had a busy wonderful weekend. Dove hunting in SOSO Mississippi, cooked out with family and friends, picked a five gallon bucket of scuppernong for some wine that my sister-in-law. is going to make.
