Articles about "Long Tail Keywords" abound, both here on Active Rain and when you search for the term on Google or other search engines.
The articles found generally:
tell you what the long tail is, tell you why you should care, or tell you why you shouldn't care. I'm going to tell you all of that, in my own words.
A "long tail keyword" or "long tail search" is one that is more specific than a general search term and therefore has fewer monthly searches for it. In fact, sometimes it doesn't show up on search term lists at all.
