brilliant!

now this is really genius.

here is an interesting approach that was emailed to me.

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. instead i'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000.00 to America in a "We Deserve It Dividend".

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman, & child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 & up. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00

My plan is to give $425,000.00 to every person 18+ as "We Deserve It Dividend". Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So lets assume a tax rate of 30%. Everty individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000.00 right back to uncle sam. But it means every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in thier pocket. A husband & wife has $595,000.00

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

*Payoff your mortgage-housing crisis solved

*Repay college loans- what a great boost to new grads

*Put money away for college-it will be there

*Save in a bank-create money to loan to entrepreneurs

*Buy a new car-create jobs

*Invest in the market-capital drives growth

*Pay for your medical Insurance-health care improves

*Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean-or else

Remember this is for every adult US Citizen 18+ including those folks who lost thier jobs at Lehman Brothers & every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we are going to re-distribute wealth lets really do it... instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 (vote buy) economic incentive that is being pushed by one of our candidates for President. if we are going to do an $85 Billion bailout, lets bailout every US Citizen 18+!

As for AIG-

*liquidate it

*sell off its parts

*let American General go back to being American General

*sell off the real estate

*let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up & clean it up

Here's my rationale. We deserve it & AIG doesnt. Sure its a crazy idea that "can never work". But can you imagine the Coast to Coast Block Party! How do you spell economic boom? And remember the "We Deserve It Dividend" only costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh. I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

anger management works

When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know.

I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying "Hello."
I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?"

Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear "Get the right f*** ing number!" and the phone was slammed down on me.

I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude. When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits.

After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again.

When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an asshole !" and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word 'asshole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an asshole !" It always cheered me up.

When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic asshole calling would have to stop.

So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?"

He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an asshole!" and hung up.

One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number.

A couple of days later, right after calling the first asshole (I had his number on speed dial), I thought that I'd better call the BMW asshole, too.

I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?"

He said, "Yes, it is.."

I asked, "Can you tell me where I can see it?"

He said, "Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd , in Fairfax .

It's a yellow rambler, and the car's parked right out in front."

I asked, "What's your name?" He said, "My name is Don Hansen."

I asked, "When's a good time to catch you, Don?"

He said, "I'm home every evening after five.."

I said, "Listen, Don, can I tell you something?"

He said, "Yes?"

I said, "Don, you're an asshole !"

Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too. Now, when I had a problem, I had two assholes to call.

Then I came up with an idea.

I called Asshole #1.

He said, "Hello."

I said, "You're an asshole!"

(But I didn't hang up.)

He asked, "Are you still there?"

I said, "Yeah."

He screamed, "Stop calling me!"

I said, "Make me."

He asked, "Who are you?"

I said, "My name is Don Hansen."

He said, "Yeah? Where do you live?"

I said, "Asshole, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd , in Fairfax, a yellow rambler,

I have a black Beamer parked in front."

He said, "I'm coming over right now, Don.

And you had better start saying your prayers."

I said, "Yeah, like I'm really scared, asshole," and hung up.

Then I called Asshole No. 2.

He said, "Hello?"

I said, "Hello, asshole ."

He yelled, "If I ever find out who you are...."

I said, "You'll what?"

He exclaimed, "I'll kick your ass,"

I answered, "Well, asshole, here's your chance.

I'm coming over right now."

Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd , in Fairfax , and that my gay lover was on his way over to kill me.

Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Oaktree Blvd. in Fairfax.

I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax I got there just in time to watch two assholes beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and surrounded by a news crew.

NOW I feel much better. Anger management does work.

Anger management works

hybrid or compact?

I went car shopping last week, and it gave me a headache. anyone who has read my blogs knows i've been concerned over the rising gas prices, so i decided to do something about it. The problem is, i love my suv. getting out of the suv mentality is difficult. First I went to toyota. I wanted to test drive the prius. Unfortunately, that is not possible. The salesman told me they dont have any to test drive, or even sit in. I would have to leave a deposit and full application to purchase, than it would be 8-12 weeks until the car came in & then i could test drive my vehicle. No thanks, i am not buying a car unseen. Besides i want to lease and they are not available to lease. I do like the idea of going green & doing something for the enviornment, guess recycling is as close as i am going to get. Although i do have my own reusable grocery bags, so that counts too. I looked at the ford edge, and i did like it, but it still only gets 17-22 mpg. So now what. I looked at the ads in the paper, and i found that smaller cars like the honda civic(not hybrid) gets 35 mpgs, but its so small. The accord is a little bigger & gets 30 mpg.But there are alot of other smaller cars out there to test drive, and finding the time is not easy. Hybrid suv's dont get better gas mileage than regular suvs.So my search continues. Any suggestions from my friends here at active rain?

all talk but no solutions

airlines charging for baggage. grocery prices skyrocketing. the senate is going to vote on aproving an additional 165 billion to fund the wars in iraq & afghanistan( how many trillion are we up to?) the senate sat down big oil executives to complain. thier profits have trippled while the consumers have to choose between feeding thier families or putting gas in thier cars., for the executives to shrug & say they are trying to push down prices. i would like to know who is trying and by what means? these are all the headlines in the media every day, but i have yet to hear anything about a solution.when will it end? at $10.00 a gallon? its the same in the mortgage meltdown. lenders are writing off billions while the ceo's are getting multi million dollar bonuses.none of this makes sense to me. we all know what the problems are, but where are the solutions?

finding alternate transportation

Being a road rep the bus or train isnt really feasible. it would take an entire day just to see a few clients. a bicycle wouldnt do either.it would probably take even more time to see a few clients and i would arrive a disheveled mess. i do however have a motorcycle license. after passing my road test all of my friends begged me not to buy one. as i was taking my roadtest a very good friend of mine was in a terrible motorcycle accident. 7 surgerys, months in the hospital, & physical therapy. never mind the accident was his fault, driving recklessly & without the proper protective gear. i would be more cautious. my friends top concerns are not that i wouldnt be carefull, but that so many drivers dont see motorcycles. most motorcycle acidents are the car drivers fault. if you cut off another car they can maintain control. not so much on 2 wheels. so now that gas is over $4 a gallon im thinking about it. i wonder what my clients, and perspective clients would think when i walk in, in full motorcycle gear holding a helmet? not exactly a professional look. and i have to wonder if the safety risks outweigh the gas savings.probably not.this debate will ramble on in my head, mainly because i just like to ride.

home equity theft prevention act

Welcome to Alisa's title corner. Todays lesson should eliminate many phone calls. It is about the Home Equity Theft Prevention Act, also known as the 6 exceptions you see on your title report should it be a purchase transaction.rpl sec 265-a is the home equity theft prevention act. it is meant to protect sellers in foreclosure from having thier equity stolen from them. im sure many of you have heard the stories, they were quite popular a few years ago. usual scenario: seller deeded thier property for no consideration to someone that promised them this was the only way to save thier home. purchaser promised them they could continue to live in the house while they repaired thier credit. once they could qualify for a loan they could buy the house back, in the meantime purchaser will make the mtg payments. yeah right! the purchaser generally bought the house for what was owed on the payoff letter, than took out a mortgage for the max & walked away never making a payment. sellers are now being evicted from the new foreclosing bank. well that is exactly why they wrote h.e.t.p.a.. so sellers would know thier rights. so that only bonafide purchasers could take deed. otherwise an equity seller will have 2 years from the date the new deed is recorded to file a lawsuit to reclaim thier equity. that is why those 6 exceptions are in your report. they are easily cleared, no need to panick.if your having a problem clearing them than you are using the wrong company. this is going to come up alot with the current state of the market. even if the sellers dont have equity because the value dropped, h.e.t.p.a. still needs to be addressed.

The legislature has mandated certain safeguards, the violation of which could result in criminal penalty and civil damages award. Among its many requirements, the Act requires the foreclosure lender to add a special notice to the summons and complaint when the foreclosure action is initiated to notify the borrower about the dangers posed by predators, and the availability of advice and help from certain agencies. It also regulates the agreement between the "equity seller" and "equity purchaser" by requiring the inclusion of certain provisions in their contract and prohibits certain representations. It allows for a five day cooling off period before a contract of sale to an "equity purchaser" is firm and requires that a cancellation notice form be attached to the contract. Furthermore if the contract is part of an arrangement whereby the "equity seller" is to get the property back ("reconveyance agreement"), the original deed to the "equity purchaser" must disclose that arrangement and the reconveyance agreement must be recorded as well.

if the above section is followed, and additional afadavids are signed at closing, all issues pertaining to h.e.t.p.a. are omitted. its actually simple once someone takes the time to break it down for you.

oil prices

i know i was venting about gas prices yesterday, and i appreciate all the coments i have recieved. last night in my insomniac stupor i came up with a solution. i know elected politicians would probably come up with numerous reasons for this not to work, and maybe i cut to many classes during political science but..... we spent over a billion dollars liberating the iraqi's from a murderous dictator(whatever bush's reasons were are irrelevant). they are an oil rich country. shouldn't they pay us back in oil barrels? this would not only bring gas prices back down, but it would also: strengthen the dollar, pull us out of a recession, alleviate our dependence on opec, and give our government a solution that would actually work to help alleviate the mortgage meltdown. think about it, what does a $300 tax rebate from the stimulos package actually do to help those in foreclosure? $300 would not cover my mortgage this month, or next month. it might cover a few tanks of gas but what about next month. $300 only goes so far. so i think we, the american tax payers should demand that our elected officials send a bill to iraq. we will accept cash or oil barrels.

gas prices keeping me off the road

I just need to vent!!! im an outside sales person, so im on the road all day. every day the gas prices go up making it more difficult to stay out in the field. why doesnt the government release some of our reserves? wouldnt that make prices drop instantly? a $300 rebate stimulus package doesnt go very far when you consider that every product people need to buy daily has gone up in price as a direct result of the outrageous gas prices!
