According to DSNews, VantageScore Solutions released it's latest latest credit scoring model version VantageScore 2.0.  The new program is now fully implemented at all three major credit reporting agencies Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
Kerry Williams, group president of Experian Credit Services, said "Given the dramatic shifts in today's credit environment, lenders need information and tools that reflect these changes to make sound lending decisions,"

San Diego Home Prices - The Only City With Sales Price Gain in November - 01/27/11 09:46 AM
The latest Case-Shiller index shows that sales prices across the nation continue to weaken, except for San Diego. 
Based on data through November 2010, the study shows that of the 10 city composite that are closely watched, home prices were down 0.4 percent and the 20 city composite fell 1.6 percent from a year earlier in 2009.
Of the 20 major metropolitan areas, only four cities, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. showed year over year gains in November with regard to growth rate.

Housing Starts Down Nationally, Permits Up in San Diego - 01/24/11 10:35 AM
According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) housing starts were down for December 2010.  There was a decline of 4.3 percent from the previous month. 
Although housing starts were down, "Building permits, which can be an indicator of future building activity, rose 16.7 percent in December on gains in both the single and multifamily sectors."
Building permits for San Diego, Carlsbad, and San Marcos were up 24% for single family dwellings and up 14% for multifamily dwellings for an average YTD change of 20%.
