Unemployment Rate Drops to 8.6 Percent - 12/02/11 11:23 AM
According to DSNews the national unemployment rate dropped to 8.6 percent in November 2011.  Employers added 120,000 new employees to their payrolls.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics News Release states that the national unemployment rate numbers are down 0.4 percent from October 2011 and down 1.2 percent from November 2010.
 
On a state level, California’s unemployment rate for September 2011 is at 11.9 percent while the numbers published for September 2010 were at 12.4 percent, a decrease of .5 percent. 
As for the San Diego area unemployment rate, the most recent numbers reported for September 2011 show unemployment at 9.7%, down … (0 comments)
