The Southwest Washington Humane Society Walk/Run for the Animals happens this year on Saturday, May 1st at 8 a.m. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. This will be their 19th Annual Walk/Run for the Animals sponsored to benefit the agency. The 5K run begins at 8:45 and the Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

Our family LOVES to go to Big Al's on the weekends! It's easy to find, it's right off of Highway 14 and north on 164th Avenue in Vancouver, WA. Big Al's is gorgeous to see when you walk into the gigantic "foyer." The grand entrance is like a tribute to our great northwest. It has that "cabin/towering fir trees" kinda feel. Big Al's went all-out on the ambience.

Lewis River Golf Course...of course! This sweet little course is located only a short drive from Portland and Vancouver metro areas and it's just 5 miles east of I-5. But it's not JUST a plain ole golf course. It has 18 challenging holes of golf. Here is the latest ZUMBA calendar for the month of March. I am attending more often now! Learning lots of new routines from Kelly Emerson at English Estates Winery in Vancouver, WA and in Clark County. It's a rockin' good time. There has been so many in class that some of us danced "outside" today. Panera Bread Cafe! Oh my gosh...it's not JUST about bread! I took a friend there for lunch and she said she had been into Panera Bread but only to buy bread.It's like a great little coffee place, with really yummy desserts, soups and sandwhiches. (They have wifi too! I love places that include FREE wifi!)

These are the latest market stats for some of the areas in Clark County for the week of 1/1/2010-1/9/2010. These stats are just for residential homes for sale, including condos,manufactured homes, and townhomes. There is even a houseboat counted in these numbers!

Esther Short Park is located in downtown Vancouver, WA. It has so many cool ammenities and events, it's hard to know where to start. In the summer hours, there is a fabulous Farmer's Market that is quite popular. People come to the market and even bring their doggies on a leash to stroll through all the food booths and craft booths. Another of the very popular aspects of Esther Short Park is the fountain area. It is a beautiful, multi-level brick fountain area made to mimic a Cascade stream. Larsen's Bakery Banana Cream Cake in Vancouver, WA comes to mind during this holiday time of year! Have you visited their bakery? They are famous for their Banana Cream cakes. Delicious!! These cakes taste divine. Whenever I go to a wedding, baby shower or birthday where this cake is served...I know that person is VERY special to have deserved such a cake.

Check out the cute little Water Lily Cafe right downtown Vancouver, WA. I highly recommend it because it has the BEST pasta salads and sandwiches and soups!! I love this little cafe and often drop by when I'm working at the downtown Keller William's office. (It's right next door!) I went all by myself to see what it was like. It was FUN, FUN, FUN! I went to Kelly Emerson's ZUMBA classes at the English Estate Winery today! It was a blast. The music is bumping and exciting.
