Aloha Everyone,
Mortgage rates rose this week, partially due to the volatility of bonds.  Also Fannie and Freddie are applying new fees to help their bottom lines as house prices decline, and this is reflected in the higher rates.  Jobless claims are also higher than expected.

Aloha Everyone,
After a couple weeks of rates rising and falling, rates started to hold steady this week. Mortgage applications increased in its highest amount in two years with the rate drop 2 weeks ago, then declined nearly 20% the following week creating a blow to the housing market.
