THE CURE FOR THE AFTERMATH OF THANKSGIVING DINNER?

Tummy full, bloated or expanded?  Feeling sluggish, lethargic and ready for a nap? Try this for a little fun and energizing.

Get yourself the Wii-Fit and for a distraction Celine Dion's "A New Day" live from Las Vegas DVD.  Yes, they will work together.  Now while we find the little Mii's on the Wii-fit very cute and easy to follow, after a tummy stretching meal like the one you may have just indulged in the past few days, we have to pull out the big gun exercise.  The 2400 step routine.  To watch the little Mii's step for that long is, well, somewhat of a stretch (no pun intended).

      Mii from the Wii Fit!

The simple solution?  Plop in an entertaining musical DVD to keep yourself amused as you step. We enjoyed Celine's both for the music and the entertainment of the show behind her!

Time will pass quickly and before you know it that belt buckle will be back in its proper hole and you will be feeling fit and energized!

Try it! Step one, two, three, four....

It's been almost 72 years and we're hoping it lasts even longer.  No we are not talking about the losing streak the Toronto Maple Leaf hockey club has been on, it hasn't been that long for them yet and we want that streak to end.

We are talking about snowfalls in Toronto!
Yes, we have been enjoying somewhat of balmy temperatures for this area at this time of year.  What we didn't realize though was while we are enjoying this weather, we are on our way to breaking the 72 year old record of, drum roll here please, of NO SNOW IN NOVEMBER in Toronto

No Snow this Winter!

Yes, we are shouting and yes, we are happy.  Just a few more days to go and the record will be broken.  It looks like Mother Nature will be co-operating because there is no snow in the weather forecast.

The City ploughs are ready, the salt & sand are piled high, the anti-freeze is stocked
at the gas stations ready for the inevitable winter wonderland, but for every day it is delayed the shorter the season is and yes, we all would be happy about that.

Do you see a weather record breaker in the forecast?

Come experience the magic of Christmas in Kleinburg Ontario Canada.  This old town that was developed back in 1848 by John Kline will fill you with the spirit of Christmas fast. Even faster if it was covered in a blanket of snow, picture the roadways in the movies 'Scrooge' or 'It's a Wonderful Life, but forget the snow, we always like the slow, scenic route and we've asked Santa for a mild winter anyway!

Kleinburg is a quaint town with one little business street, don't blink you truly will have gone through it.  But as they say the best things come in small packages and don't underestimate the powerful punch of small town Kleinburg, it is renown for the famous McMichael's Art Gallery, The Doctor's House for a fine culinary experience, which also features a small white chapel very popular for weddings.  It is very common for the crowds of weekend shoppers and residents alike to witness many bridal parties walking the street to take advantage of the abundant photo opportunities available here.

Friday November 27, 2009 Kleinburg will kick start the Christmas season again with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 7:00 in front of the Kline house.  It is a red ribbon campaign in support of the hospital for Sick Kids Foundation, with Christmas Carollers, roasted chestnuts, hot chocolate & egg nog.  Christmas street lights and the decorated stores will magically turn on to sparkle the town.

Christmas Tree Lighting at the Kline House Nov 27, 2009 7:00 pm Kleinburg Ontario Canada

Sunday December 6, 2009 Kleinburg will continue the small town Christmas effect with a Christmas Fest complete with photos with Santa, cookie decorating, face painting, strolling Victorian Carollers, Christmas crafts, group Christmas carols and even voting for the best decorated Christmas tree in town event!

If you're in need of some down home Christmas spirit or want to treat some little ones or old folks with a day of old time fun, take a visit to the hamlet of Kleinburg and go home filled with wonderful memories.

ANSWER TO: Wordless Wednesday With A Little "Name That Photo" Added

We know this was a toughy, but if it is to easy and the first guy gets it... where's the fun.

We had some good guesses, even some pretty close ones.

So, this is what you were trying to figure out what exactly the picture was showing.

The wheels came to a grinding stop.

This is where the operator was stationed to operate the above picture.

The station operators old home.

Well here it is...

The old Atherley Narrow's Bridge.

This bridge was able to rotate in one direction to allow cars to cross and as it showsc in the picture to allow for boat traffic to pass by.  In the 1990's the bridge and the bridge operator were both retired to make way for a new modern overpass which allowed boat traffic to pass under.

The bridges both spanned over what is know as the Atherley Narrows which connects two bodies of water Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching.

So where should you invest your money... the Housing Market or the Stock Market

Both markets go up and down, but You Can't Live In Your RRSP or IRA

Take a quick look at the stats below, this is what has and is happening in the Toronto, Ontario real estate market.  Should have bought a few of them back in 1975.  Funny thing is, if you decide to buy one today the mortgage interest rates for the most part are better today than they were in the past.

If you live or are moving to the Toronto, Ontario area, give us a call, you will find our contact information below the chart.

Wordless Wednesday With A Little  "Name That Photo" Added

Here's a little picture that might get your brain turning.  It's something old, matter of fact it hasn't been used in years.  It would of caused a lot of problems if it hadn't existed when it was used.

Look carefully, even though we don't think you will get it.

To help we will add a clue around supper time (EST), take a shot, come back later after the clue and take a second shot

We will reveal the big picture tomorrow, so keep that computer humming...

Keep Those Wheels A Rollin

We know, the above picture could be just about anything... you guys are so smart we have to try to trick you a little bit.  Well this clue is probably going to give it away but that's okay, but you will have to wait until this time tomorrow for the full picture.

There used to be a guy that controlled what you see in picture number one.  He hung out in what you see in the picture below.  It used to be not a bad little place until the riff raft came.

home sweet home

Merry Christmas

It was a balmy 48 degrees in Orillia, Ontario today.  No snow in sight but a beautiful sunny day for the 2009 Santa Claus Parade.  Everyone was having fun waiting to Santa to come.  (Click the speaker in the top left corner of the slide show for a little Drummer Boy music.)
