We were reading an article today that was indicating that the font you use can make a difference in your overall cost to operate your printer. 
You can get some great deals on the printer itself, matter a fact we bought a couple of Brother laser black and white printers for about $50 a year or so ago.  Never even considered the cost of the toner.  Now that is where the money is.
