Are You A Law Abiding Citizen? - 07/29/10 10:49 PM
Are You A Law Abiding Citizen?Just watched another fantastic movie and we had to tell you about it. It's called Law Abiding Citizen, featuring outstanding performances from both Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx.

We don't want to give away any details of the story line other than to say its about a frustrated man who decides he must take the law into his own hands. It was the most exciting two hours we have spent in awhile.  This thriller grossed $73,343,413 in 2009.  Law Abiding Citizen, a movie worth watching. Are You A Law Abiding Citizen?

How could such a beautiful flower grow in a swamp?  What kind of flower is it?  Maybe "Mother Nature" is sending us a message... could she be saying something like "you can always find something good in any situation... just look for it". Wordless Wednesday - There Is Beauty in a Swamp

Are We About To Lose Another Friend? - 07/23/10 08:34 AM
Are We About To Lose Another Friend? The Royal Canadian Mint, who produces the Canadian currency is considering stopping the production of our good luck charm, the penny. Since 1908 it has produced over 30 billion one cent coins and says maybe that's enough.
What's to become of our copper friend? It is reported that the penny valued at one cent, costs the taxpayers about a cent and a half to produce and distribute. That's a losing proposition, but even though we can't think of anything we can buy for a penny, when we find one on the street and pick it … (19 comments)

Happy Birthday - Mr. "Parking Meter" See You At The Party - 07/16/10 08:20 AM
Happy Birthday - Mr. "Parking Meter" See You At The PartySometimes it's not nice to talk about someones age, but when you are 75 years old it doesn't seem to matter anymore.

This story started way back in 1935 on this day July 16th.  The "parking meter" was born.  As the story goes, store owners were concerned with losing business when people would park their cars on the street and just leave them there for weeks.  Can you imagine that, too many cars on the street way back in 1935.Carl Magee a local lawyer and journalist came up with … (14 comments)

Taking A Hike? Don't Pick Up Any Unwanted Guest! Planning on hiking this summer and enjoying the great outdoors? Take along extra caution in your backpack this year. Uruguay and Germany gave us exactly what we were looking for.  Lots of action despite the pouring rain.  It looked like Uruguay was going to take the third place finish, but Germany fought back to out score them 3 - 2. Uruguay played strong throughout the series and can go home holding their heads high... well done Uruguay. Congratulations Germany, you played hard and came back from being down 2 - 1.
