I'm Sending My Love - 04/26/07 08:10 PM
OK, OK, as quick as I had my appointment scheduled for yesterday I lost it just as quickly. It's OK though. I wanted to curse and yell...well, I'll be honest, I did when I got the message that she was cancelling. What was the reason for cancelling? AHHH, her realtor sent over a stager on Tuesday. It was part of her marketing package and she didn't realize it. NOTE TO SELF: Get a relationship secured with a realtor! I'm over it. It's over and done with---not losing sleep. She was the ONLY one to call from those cards I sent but it's still (7 comments)
A little post card success - 04/23/07 04:32 PM
YAY! YAY! YAY! OK, I'm not a cheerleader in any way, shape or form but I almost jumped off my desk chair this afternoon! I mailed out 80 postcards to local homes listed in my zip code on Saturday. About 10 minutes after I got off the phone getting my account set up to accept credit cards for the biz, I got a bite on my postcards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The woman said she just brought in her mail, liked the postcard and wanted to get an estimate for services. I don't give estimates over the phone (and I honestly don't know how anyone could, site unseen) (1 comments)
Vacant Staging Services, FOR FREE?????????? - 04/19/07 02:07 PM
I'm stopping what I'm doing to write this. I just came across this company, Showhomes of America that advertises FREE vacant home staging from a link on a Coldwell Banker realtor's site. Of course, I had to read further. How could they stage a vacant home for free, and WHY would one offer to do so? Naturally, there has to be more to it. They accept transients, esentially, with nice furniture and accessories to live in the vacant homes. The perk? These transients (my word, not their's) get to live in upscale homes with their furniture. They just have to be friendly (18 comments)
Creating a Branded Stager... - 04/18/07 01:33 PM
Branding. Brand Image. Brand. Brand Experience. Brand Name. Brand Recognition. Hhhmmm. I stumbled across these terms, plus some, doing some research about Brands in Wikipedia. (I wanted to provide the link but I can't figure it out...even with the tutorial I read yesterday. Sorry!) The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about a Brand is a Brand Name...something like Coca-Cola, for example. A brand name is usually something that becomes a household name...a product, or service, is easily identified by it's brand name. One of my favorites is Brand Image. The term will be forever embedded in my (15 comments)
"New" to Woodstock, GA? - 04/17/07 03:46 PM
Coming up on my 10 month anniversary here as a resident of Woodstock, GA I can say that I am HOME, for sure. Being born and raised in the same 2 mile radius of NYC for my entire life, I expected complete culture shock when I moved here. Luckily, I can say, I have adjusted very well to my new surroundings and I love it here. The people are nice. The homes are nice. The schools are good. The weather's better than NY. Yes, I'll stay for awhile! I love my neighborhood: Towne Lake. It took me awhile to understand the reference (0 comments)
