There is a buzz in Breckenridge Colorado today! The Question? Should Breckenridge Colorado sponsor a Rodeo? The town is considering holding weekend Rodeo events this summer. The location would be just south of town, down off Airport Road somewhere. The Buzz? well it doesn't have anything to do with location. Many folks have wrote the the editor of the local paper "The Summit Daily" declaring they feel any and all rodeos are actually cruel to the animals. Breckenridge Colorado- The 2009 International Snow Sculpting Championships begin Tuesday January 20th and continues through Saturday January 24th . The activities are located in the Riverwalk Center in downtown Breckenridge Colorado. January 20-24, 2009 Sculpting Week- Sculpting will begin at 11:00 a.m.on Tuesday, January 20 and sculpting ends on Saturday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. New this year the awards ceremony will be on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Weather permitting the sculptures will stay up untill Febuary 1st. Breckenridge Colorado- January 4-10th Ullr Fest kicks off today from 5:30 to 9pm at The Gold Run Nordic Center. The Ullr Nordic Party and bonfire is out at the Breckenridge Golf Course in The Highlands at Breckenridge. This event features appetizers, cash bar and the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen. Participation in the event is free and half price snow shoe rentals are available. Tuesday January 6th - Breckenridge's version of the dating game will be held.
