Arachnophobia is a specific phobia, an abnormal fear of spiders and other arachnids. It is among the most common of all phobias.  Reactions of arachnophobics often seem irrational to others (and sometimes to the sufferers themselves). People with arachnophobia tend to feel uneasy in any area they believe could harbor spiders or that has visible signs of their presence, such as webs. If you have never been to the NC Seafood Festival in Downtown Morehead City, you are missing a great time.  We look forward to the festival all year.  Downtown Morehead is packed with arts and crafts booths, rides and games for the kids (big and small) , live music every night, beer tents, boat shows, and the food....you can't beat it.  As the name implies, All the Seafood you can dream of.  It truly is an amazing event, right here in our own backyard.

While attempting to take property photos for a new listing in Beacon's Reach, Pine Knoll Shores, NC,  These little guys kept reaching out for my attention.  Turns out, they were on vacation and thinking of relocating to the Crystal Coast.  They didn't qualify for a loan, but are the friendliest renters on the island.

Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning: A 9/11 Tribute - 09/11/09 06:58 AM
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at work at Eastside Animal Clinic. I remember my friend Sandy rushing out the door to go to her children. I remember the look of fear on my boss's face when he received the call that a third plane had crashed into the Pentagon...his brother's office was in the Pentagon. I also remember the sigh of relief when he found out that his brother was out of town. I remember making my first phone call to my mother, then my husband, my sister, my dad. I live, work and play on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.  I truly love the area that I live in and as a REALTOR, I try to focus on the areas that I KNOW.
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Western North Carolina.  We took our four year old, Tanner, on his very first REAL camping trip.  So real, that I forgot to put the air matresses and pillows in the car and we had to rough it by sleeping on nothing but sleeping bags (we did remember the tent, but my back still aches).
