Camp Trinity is a residential summer camp in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. It is sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina at Trinity Center. I drive by the entrance to Trinity Center twice a day on my way to the office, My parents home is located about one block from the entrance, and until this weekend, I had no idea what a wonderful place it is.
I have a six year old, who has asked to attend summer camp this year. I had heard of Camp Trinity (8 comments)
Not All Fences were Made for Sitting.... - 01/31/11 07:26 AM
Not all Fences were made for sitting....Take the fence below for instance. This is called a Sand Beach Fence. It is meant to help prevent dune erosion and to assist in coastline & vegetation preservation. It was not made for sitting.
Interest rates are still incredibly low and there are still many wonderful properties to choose from on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. If you are sitting on the fence, and are ready to leap off and buy your dream home, give me a call. (10 comments)
If you live on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, You may have sweetgum trees in your yard. They seem to be in abundance here. We have the priviledge of FOUR! The spikey "gumballs" are not the most desirable thing to step on, and raking them is a real pain in the @#$%@. I hear folks complaining about their Sweetgum trees ALL THE TIME!
I love my Sweetgum Trees. In the summer they sport large & shiny, Bright green, Star shaped leaves. They provide top of the line shade in our (7 comments)
Yesterday, as I was getting my shopping list ready to head off the the grocery store, My boys decided that they wanted to join me! What? Grocery Shopping is "MY TIME". I can wander the aisles, taking my time, comparing prices, and eventually end up with everything on my list. Enough food to get through the week.
Well, with my hubby & six year old in tow...It's not quite the same. I'll admit it's fun to shop with them, but I spent way more money and twice as much time (26 comments)

Yesterday was a beautiful day on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. Sunny with bright blue skies, and a toasty 58º degrees. It was absolutely gorgeous. So, when Marian, aka Mom, asked me to take photos of her new listing and then help her put up a sign at another new listing...I jumped at the chance. Problem was...I got caught up in the photo opportunities and the sunshine, that Marian was left waiting for me in the office parking lot to put up a sign. OOPS! Reminded me of the (12 comments)

I spend a lot of time online and I am not ashamed to admit that I am an internet Junkie! Out of all the free, online photo editing sites I have found and experimented with, Picnik is my favorite. You may have one that works well for you. If you do not, I highly recommend that you visit www.picnik.com and try it out. The free version is fabulous, but for $24.95 per year, you can upgrade and get even more.
Everyone has heard, "Don't sweat the small stuff"...but when selling your home, The Small stuff can make a BIG difference. Many Buyers can overlook the small stuff, but many can't and won't! By Small Stuff, I am referring to things like burnt out lightbulbs, loose doorknobs, closet doors that are off the hinges, small tears in the screen on the back porch. There are also quick & easy "Housekeeping" items that can make the home feel Tidy & Clean & well maintained.
Here's one example....My husband is the world's worst Dresser Drawer (169 comments)
It has been an unusually cold winter here on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. We are expecting our third snow here tonight. Actually, last year was really cold too, but not like this. There are many benefits to cold weather, but if you are just sick of it and counting the days until summer, check out the list below. These are wonderful ways to stay warm for the remainder of the Winter season and have a great time in the process.

Chances are, You have had Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream before. Maybe you even enjoyed your scoop (or tub) in one of the many Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shops across the country. Squirmy, Shuddersome, Sort of Speechless, Stinkbug Sunday... - 01/16/11 06:01 PM
Squirmy, Shuddersome, Sort of Speechless, Stinkbug Sunday... My laptop died and was laid to rest a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately, I had everything backed up, but you know how it is...Busy, Busy, Busy. I uploaded all the really important stuff and left the thousands of photos and misc. items for later. Well, today is later and as I started uploading all of my handy, dandy photos...I was shocked to find many that I had taken and then forgotten about...It's like Christmas all over again! Below is a photo I took a few months ago. We found these little (8 comments)
Carlone's Pizza, Subs & More on the Morehead City Waterfront
My family and I spend a lot of time on the Morehead City Waterfront. We enjoy just walking up and down the boardwalk, admiring the views and the boats. We also love stopping in one of the many local shops downtown and we especially enjoy having lunch at Carlone's. In our opinion, they have the best pizza in town, and I always enjoy a large, fresh salad while visiting Carlone's.
Tanner especially loves the fact that a slice is just about as big (8 comments)
Some of you here on the Crystal Coast may be asking yourselves, What is that strange white stuff falling from the sky? It is what Meteorologists and Northerners call "Snow". What is snow? Well, according to Wikipedia: Snow is a type of precipitation within the Earth's atmosphere in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes that fall from clouds.
Now, I know from the many comments from my Husband's family up in Wisconsin that many Northerners think that us Southerners are a (31 comments)

Many years ago, I would have spent New Year's Eve out with friends, having a few drinks and actually staying awake to see the stroke of Midnight! Then I would have created my handy, dandy list of New Year's Resolutions (that would never go anywhere). Nowadays...I am lucky to stay awake until 9 PM, My goals are everchanging, and I work on them all year...Not just on New Year's Day.
This year, my family and I didn't attend any huge celebrations, but we had a wonderful & relaxing evening with each (24 comments)
Twelve years ago, as my husband and I sat on the patio of our apartment in Florida... this big, handsome cat walked up, jumped in my husband's lap, and claimed us. He was sweet and goofy, and we fell absolutely in love with him. We named him Bodean and it suited him well! A strong name, for a strong cat. Over the years, our family grew to five cats, one dog, and then in 2005, a human child. Bodean was always the trouble maker in the family, pouncing on the other cats, eating the dog's food, stealing food (23 comments)
