Home is a Wonderful Thing.... Especially on the Crystal Coast of NC! I returned home yesterday afternoon from the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® Convention & Expo. This year's convention was held at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. The first evening, we stayed in the guest cabin at a Fabulous Bed & Breakfast, The James Wylie House, in White Sulphur, WV. The hostess, Monica, was wonderful, and made us feel right at home. We spent the first evening hiking along the Greenbrier River, and then enjoyed a Good Southern Dinner at "The Mason Jar". I think most of us would agree that we are all entitled to be lazy every now and then. Although, I can't really remember the last time I was truly lazy! Today, August 10th is Lazy Day.... Who Knew? While I would love to stay in my jammies ALL day, watching chick flicks and eating bon bons, No Can Do! Well, according to the calendar, it is officially Spring, and It is definitely in the air. My allergies are in high gear, the grass is turning green and the cars have a yellow dusting of pine pollen on them. The trees have budding leaves covering their branches and they are absolutely gorgeous against the bright blue sky. There is a nice, gentle breeze at the beach and the island is hopping with folks walking, biking, sailing and just enjoying the warmer weather.

Not all Fences were made for sitting....Take the fence below for instance. This is called a Sand Beach Fence. It is meant to help prevent dune erosion and to assist in coastline & vegetation preservation. It was not made for sitting.
