Camcorder Recommendations?

I am looking at upgrading to the Canon HV30 for my video tours. Does anyone have this camcorder? Any other recommendations?

I really want to be able to produce a high quality product, but am afraid that this camera may be overkill for just posting the videos to the web. I also use PlaceTour for my video hosting and am unsure if the video will just be compressed for the web anyway...

Any recommendations/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Fall Colors on the Chetco River ~ Brookings, Oregon

The Chetco River begins in the rugged, isolated terrain of the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and makes its way down to the Pacific, separating the towns of Brookings and Harbor. Almost all the river is located in the Siskiyou National Forest, except for the lower 5 miles. In winter, salmon and steelhead fishing are the primary recreational uses. In summer, fishing, swimming, boating, camping, and picnicking are the major attractions. The river features many vehicle-friendly gravel bars that extend along several sections of the river of which are a popular destination for locals during the summertime to swim, camp, barbeque, and lounge in the sun along the beauty of the crystal-clear waters.
