Memorial Day ~ It's more than just another day off - 05/30/11 08:45 PM
Have you stopped for just a moment to reflect on exactly what Memorial Day is all about? When I was a kid, it was called Decoration Day, a day always spent helping my mom pull the weeds around my grandma's headstone and place a planter filled with Petunias.
Today it seems most people just think of it as another day off. A day signaling the beginning of Summer and usually spent gathered around a grill in the backyard.

Sun Lakes Marine Corp League is asking for musical instruments for Wounded Warriors - 05/29/11 01:00 AM
The East Valley Marine Corps League Detachment #1296 of Sun Lakes has started a musical instrument donation program in conjunction with the nationwide Wounded Warrior Project. All donated instruments will be used in musical therapy programs for returning injured service members.
The types of instruments needed for the program are:
Guitars (acoustic, electric, classical bass) Ukuleles (preferably tenor) Portable keyboards Harmonicas (key of C) Hand drums (djembes, doumbecks, paddle drums) Percussive instruments (tambourines, cabasas, rhythm sticks, maracas, guiros, castanets, claves) and accessories such as guitar strings, electronic tuners, cases for the instruments and bags to store instruments. Shocked. That's the word that describes buyers who begin their search for a home in the Phoenix metro area. They've heard the rumors of how sellers are rolling out the red carpet to any buyer that looks at their home for sale. They believe the media who seem to get great pleasure propagating the myth of our horrible real estate market conditions. So, they come into town sporting great confidence like kids in a candy store...until they find many of the candy bins...empty.

Do Hummingbirds have an IQ? If so, this one has a great big fat one! I've never seen one build a nest where this hummingbird did.
Mama Hummingbird is sitting on an itty bitty nest that contains itty bitty eggs. She decided to build her nest on this windchime in my courtyard. But, not just ANY windchime...a Hummingbird windchime, of course.
So, this little hummingbird has it all. A great location and a home that makes all the other hummingbirds jealous. I'm so proud of her.

We Blog for many reasons, but as Real Estate Agents, let's face it, one of the main reasons we Blog is to get noticed by buyers, sellers and other agents who may refer us buyers and sellers.
So, why is it that when we Blog really well and we get noticed by buyer, sellers and other agents who refer us buyers and sellers, we no longer have time to Blog? Is that a bad thing? If not...why do I feel so guilty?
