Just how distressed is the Chandler & Sun Lakes Real Estate Market? - 01/31/12 08:12 PM
Homes are selling briskly in Chandler, Arizona and the surrounding East Valley and the demand for homes is outweighing the home supply in many areas. This is creating a buyer's market reminiscent of the housing boom. For some reason, however, our prices simply aren't reflecting that supply/demand issue.
You would think that a low supply and a high demand would equal climbing real estate values, but we're not seeing much of that in most areas. Slight appreciation is being noted in some communities, but nothing that's significant.

Do you know someone 99 years or older? The National Centenarian Awareness Project (NCAP) is looking for those honored citizens!
The NCAP's mission is to help Arizonans over 100 feel like a cornerstone of society, rather than a pushed-aside novelty. According to Phoenix Magazine, Lynn Peters Adler, Director of the NCAP moved to Arizona in 1984 from New York, where she studied elder law at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Advocating for the elderly was an interest that sprung up in Adler's teenage years, when she watched her 60-something grandmother struggle with age-related feelings of shame and marginalization.

Phoenix area real estate ~ A 4 year snapshot. - 01/27/12 12:53 AM
A few interesting facts about the last 4 years of Real Estate sales in the Phoenix Metro area. 2008 signalled the massive declines in our values. Short sales were born...or at least became more well known. Short sales can still be filled with frustration for buyers and for sallers, but our success ratio is noticable in the number of short sales that have acutally resulted in a sale.
The good news is our homes sales are hopping. There is an inventory shortage of homes for sale in the Valley which will hopefully be followed with the typical supply/demand result...an increase in … (5 comments)

What a beautiful day for a Presidential visit! Only a mile from my house, I thought it would be fun to go on over to the Intel Plant in Ocotillo and see the excitement as President Obama arrived for his tour of the plant today.
I'm not going to go all political here. It really doesn't matter what side of the fence I'm on with President Obama. The fact of the matter is he IS our President and for that reason I wanted to pay my respect to him.

There are many reasons people from all over the world flock to Arizona. Great home values and 350 days of sunshine a year.
This time of the year, especially...we see a rise in calls from residents of states in the North, Midwest and East Coast. Is it any wonder?
While the winter has been unseasonably mild in those areas this season there are those who are just plain tired of snow and cold...any amount of snow is too much for some.
I had to chuckle when I received this photo from a buyer. Pretty much says it all!
