Waxing is one of the oldest forms of hair removal dating back to 3000 B.C. While there are many forms of waxes, Bay Harbour Med Spa offers the soft wax commonly known as the strip wax which traditionally uses heated wax and fabric strips to remove the wax.

Clients at risk for waxing:
1. Clients who use Retin-A, alpha and beta hydroxyl acids.
2. Clients undergoing chemical peels.
3. Clients with diabetes, especially those with neuropathy ( the inability to feel heat or pain).

Clients should discontinue use of these home care products at least two weeks post resurfacing or strong chemical peels.

Clients prone to ingrown hair or razor bumps, should begin exfoliating those areas several days' pre- and post-waxing to prevent this condition.
