There is something so special, magical even, about Litchfield County, Connecticut. Of course we are coming into the most exciting season of all. The fall foliage is just on the horizon and soon we will be exploding with colors, it will be the most spectacular symphony for the eyes.
I took the photo below with my cell phone, at one of the reservoirs in New Milford, CT. It was such a breathtaking moment for me.

A funny thing happened, I realized my concept of a subdivision is not like what others around the country may have. Sure, technically we have them, a few even have a fancy sign, set in stone pillars as an example. Graceful entrances to a few of the newer ones. It is certainly a well known landmark, it is estimated that the covered bridge was built somewhere around 1864.

Looking back from 2009 through today, the real estate market in Washington, CT is down. The average sale price is down, the average market time is down (that is a good thing) and the verdict is not in about the total sales for the year. I doubt that 15 homes will sell between October - December of this year. It looks like 2010 was the better of the three years all around for anyone selling. For buyers, this just might be the year.
