Beginning on January 1, 2010, Solar Waster heaters will be required on all new homes built in Hawaii. I think this is wonderful news and I am surprised that it has taken this long to see legislation like this. Don't throw out those CFL's folks! Home Depot announced today that they have launched a recycling program for compact Florescent bulbs at all 1,973 stores nationwide. I stumbled upon this this evening over at materialicious.com. This is a do it yourself type project where you can create a non-toxic stucco or plaster for both inteior or exterior walls.
