I am so desperate to get rid of this cough.  I have not been able to sleep at night.  I finally fell asleep at 3am this morning.  I am regretting another night/morning like it.

I have Vodka in the house but the suggestions are for whiskey with lemon and honey.

I went to the grocery store today after showing one home.  I had to stop at the Wells Fargo and make a deposit first.  As soon as I was filling in the deposit slip a cough attack.  I went to the public restroom and everyone could hear me.  I was embarrassed.  One employee thought I was pregnant since it sounded like I was gagging. No!! I'm not.

I wonder if I should go ahead and get rid of my tonsils?

Today in the news it was reported that persons were trying to access homes by acting like alarm sales people.  It is going on in the Burleson area.  If someone comes to your door to talk about alarm systems for your home, make sure they have an ID that the city has provided.  Door to door sales people have to check in with the city so that they are aware of their presence in the neighborhoods. 

That reminded of a woman that was walking through my neighborhood over 6 months ago selling alarm systems.  She did provide an ID but I was not interested in her services.  What I did not like about her was the comment she made that my neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods were being burglarized.  I knew that was not true.  I have close connections with the police dept and nothing was ever said about home burglaries. Sometimes these sales people get so desperate to make a sale they will say anything.  I knew better but other people may not.  So please don't answer your door unless you are comfortable doing so.  Make sure you check ID's and make sure you don't open the door if you are alone.

In the news today, it was reported that a cat, one like my Marci, was found all duct taped.  This happened in Philadelphia.  Some people are so cruel and it just brought tears to my eyes to see the cat all taped up.  They are looking for the culprit and the owner of the cat. 

The cat is doing fine, the veterinarian was able to remove the tape.  The cat has a collar and tags and is in a good and playful mood.  If the owner is not found the cat will be put up for adoption.  I hope the cat goes to a loving home soon.

This is one of my kittens.  She looks like the cat that was in the news today.

The calls have been coming in now that I placed an ad on Craigslist for free kittens.

I received two today.  One caller was from White Settlement and the other from Garland. 

The caller from Garland wanted to take two of the kittens.  I only let one go with them.

They already have two cats as it is.  I am so sad but I'll get over it.  And when the other kittens find homes, I will be sad then too.

Here is a picture of the three together.  Now I only have two left plus momma.

I hope Samantha will be loved and cared for.  She will be a playmate to a 8 week old kitten in Garland.

What more could a kitten want?  Food, water, nice home, lots of attention and toys to play with.

They are keeping busy by batting around a little rattle on a string.  Each one takes turns.  Every now and then I have to untangle it and then the fun starts all over again.

I did get one email from Craigslist and one call inquiring about the kittens.

As you all well know, the public has a perception of us that is not so nice.  They see us as used car salesmen.  I believe it has to do with a little pushiness that they receive from some of us, not all of us, but some of us.

Yesterday I get a call off one of my signs.  The home is available for purchase and or lease.  The caller was interested in the lease.  I informed him it was no longer available for lease because I just approved an applicant.  He went on to ask if I had any other lease homes in the area.  I said we did not have anymore lease inventory and that this particular home was the last one.  He said okay and we said our good byes.

Later on I get a call from my Broker.  This fellow called the other number listed on the sign and my Broker answered the call.  The caller told my Broker I was short with him.  The caller also wanted us to help him find a lease to own or lease home.  I informed my Broker that the caller could just as easily call another agent's sign if he was really interested in finding a home. 

I said to my Broker, "because I was not a pushy salesman I am considered short with that person?"  give me a break.  I told my Broker I would not be calling that person back and if he wanted to help that person he could.  Leave me out of it.  I don't have time for people like that.

Dog is on the back porch looking in.  Kittens are inside the kitchen door looking out.  Dog teases kittens by laughing and sticking its tongue out.

I know the kittens can't wait to get older so they can terrorize the dogs in the backyard.

I was on the steering committee for this event.  It takes up alot of your free time but I enjoyed it.  I made new friends and learned more about the wonderful city of Glenn Heights.

All the volunteers on the steering committee provided their talents and knowledge to make it come together smoothly.

Next year the City is planning to have the event again.  Vendors if you are interested in participating the applications are online.
