Effective March 6, 2008. Great news for those that are having trouble qualifying with low downpayments. With great fan fare, the increased FHA loan limits were announced today. Sounds like the regulators are again proving that they will blame anyone but themselves. This week the appraiser is wearing the bulls-eye. On January 1, 2009 new appraisal regulations will be in effect to increase consumer costs and increase the inefficiency of the mortgage process.
