During the last buyers market (late 80's early 90's) I spent a lot of time driving people around. When I was really new.. I would take them around until they would "buy or die" (die - figuratively...) As I was learning to take better control of my business I had the good fortune to see Steve Stewart speak and at that time he really struck a chord with me. The one thing that I really remember from his seminar though, was the round red button that said "Buy From Me or Get Out Of My Car!" The city is struggling in their return from Katrina and they are glad to see us. The Cyberprofessionals had a great meal at K-Pauls (yum!) last night. With a meeting time of 8:30 am (breakfast starting at 7:00) certain CyberPros were setting up their spots by 6:30 am. We meet every year at NAR and once again someplace in the spring to exchange ideas (not just tech stuff) that can benefit our business. Look for the "cool spot" stickers at the trade show on Saturday (Cool spots are awarded to vendors that the CyberPros happen to think stick out) ActiveRainers attending the (23 comments)
Online cowmunities - it's just the beginning... - 11/01/06 10:37 PM
You never know where these things can lead... For many of us (those of us that are old in Internet years) our first experiences with online communities came from Prodigy, AOL or Compuserve and the forums that they offered. But, except for getting specific information, they never really grabbed my attention. What hooked me on developing online relationships with people was Usenet, obviously this was long before Google Groups (which is an extension of the old DejaNews Usenet archive) My ISP had their own group and I could get on there to ask questions of other users and the folks that worked there.
