Talk about great timing! Bill Gassett asked me recently to do a guest post on his MassRealEstateNews WP site and I jumped at the opportunity. As is my norm, I then shared the content on several social media sites, including my FB Fan Page. A few days later I promoted that content via Facebook and ended up picking up an out-of-town buyer who read the post via their FB news feed.

Wow, talk about getting your panties bunched up this week! I have read several posts on various platforms this week (AR included) that have bashed using FB as part of our online marketing model. Hey, to each their own! Every competitor not using it is one less we have to be concerned with on this medium. Ya'll are a fascinating bunch! I often get sent emails about this or that concerning FB but 2 of the things that have stuck out recently are:
a) Those that ask me not to showcase their Facebook Fan Page yet because it "is not ready". I went to a recent local real estate seminar where I heard the following comments from some in the crowd when the instructor starting talking about how Facebook can be an effective online marketing tool, "I quit using Facebook in 2012 because it never generated any business for me", "I want to guard my privacy and will not consider Facebook in my marketing", and "It is a waste of time...no one uses Facebook anymore". With each passing comment all I could think of was the song "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen!
