I am always thrilled when a new buyer or seller calls and one of the first things out of their mouth is that they have been following me on Facebook and want me to help them with their real estate needs. Those little marks of affirmation are a great sign my social media marketing is effective.

Someone mentioned to me the other day that Facebook marketing is a waste of time and it does not work. I agreed with them. Not because I believe what they said but because I know the methodology they have used is not going to increase the bank account or bring prospects their way. Throwing an article on their FB page once a week then forgetting about it until the next week and continually repeating that cycle is not going to give consumers any incentive to call or email for real estate assistance.

Friday is one of my 7 favorites days of the week! As a busy agent, I find without a little "me" time, my favorite day suddenly becomes like the other 6. Full of real estate activities and precious little time to keep my marketing train moving down the track! Striking some sort of balance is the right answer but not always as easy to do when demanding clients (and other agents) eat up nearly every slice of my real estate pie!

Consistency and engagment are the answers. What is the question? How do you generate new clients from Facebook (or any social media site for that matter)?!?!
