My answer is it is the approach that you are going to stick with through both the busy and slow periods. I was derelict in my Facebook Fridays group management duties recently and there was an uptick in spammy articles posted to the group that really were better suited elsewhere. It got me thinking...when we bombard consumers with the same things over and over again on social media, are they deleting, hiding, or ignoring our efforts? Keep them interested by posting a wide variety of information at various times instead of the same strict schedule. Try it...I bet you see an uptick in engagement.

I sure wish everyone bashing FB would take their own advice and actually leave the platform. There, I said it! I must have read 10 articles/FB threads this week about Facebook's demise, rants about their newsfeed changes, security concerns (for the umpteenth time), the direction Zuck and his team are taking the social media giant, and in each case the author(s) mentioned we should leave the site.

Lack of follow through, paralysis by analysis, fear of failure, tech limitations, stubbornesss, inability to set aside personal bias, etc. These and other "issues" are killing our online marketing opportunities. We need to stop over thinking things or continually asking 12 ways to Sunday how/why/what. We need to...Just.Do.It.
