This past few days I've been hearing so much discord online, watching what's going on in the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand. When I saw this beautiful quote today it reminded me to take a moment of silence and say a prayer for all the people and countries experiencing such great strife and tragedy. But when I see things from one gal in particular (Erana) I know it's probably going to make me laugh or marvel at something goreous in the world. This is another funny one from Erana. Thanks Erana! Man from Mars Discovered on Active Rain Real Estate Network Breaking News- Active Rain Member Anna 'Banana' Kruchten, accidentally ran across a photo of this man yesterday dressed as superman while searching on google. Recognizing him as a member of Active Rain Real Estate Network she wondered why he was dressed as Superman. Thinking nothing more about this odd photo (or should we say odd man) she put the photo aside in her 'strange photo file' and went back to work.
Fast forward to the very next day. As she was reading a post written by Cynthia Larsen titled "What part of box did i (19 comments)

More snow on the way - Below freezing - Roads Closed Due to Ice. Good grief how do you folks deal with the mounds of snow, below freezing temperatures and days if not months of cloudy weather? Why Having a Running Top 3 is Smart Game Plan when Buying a Home in Phoenix Arizona - 02/14/11 07:27 PM
Why Having a Running Top 3 is Smart Game Plan when Buying a Home in Phoenix Arizona This past week or so I've been working with wonderful first time home buyers in Phoenix. When I am working with home buyers I teach them to use my Running Top 3 Game Plan as we're touring homes. After we've seen several homes I teach the buyers to rate the homes in terms of their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice in homes. As we move on to the 4th, 5th, 6th or more homes, we keep track of the Running Top 3 and change the order as needed. As an example, the (13 comments)
'In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week. To wear your heart on your sleeve now means that it is easy for other people to know how you are feeling.'
What a wonderful Valentines Weekend it's been this year! We finally took a little time off and buzzed up to see our dear friends Michael and Deborah in Prescott Arizona. They used to live in Phoenix and are making plans to move back soon - so we're excited about having them closer.
Deborah is a real estate stager and real estate re-design expert and Micheal is the best faux painter in town. Our friends and clients are happy they'll soon be back in town as well. Oh - and by (14 comments)

More Valentine Cheer from Anna Banana - 02/11/11 05:31 PM
More Valentine Cheer from Anna Banana This morning, I was dead beat tired as you might have read about in Valentine Desk Surprise. After arriving at the office and finding my surprise (read the post to see how fun a desk can look) I started going about my morning routine and then I realized I forgot to mail my sisters birthday present. Yikes! I'd better rush to the post office before my 11:00 client is scheduled to come in to write a contract. Do I have enough time - it would be tight. I arrive at the post office and low and behold it (8 comments)
Every Friday I've got a really early meeting to conduct and which means leaving the house before 6:15. And as all busy people know, that's not such a big deal unless you worked late the night before, the night before, the night before... you get the picture! Arriving at the office about 9:00 after the early meeting, I was going to reach for more coffee to 'get my day started' and out of the corner of my eye I saw something weird on my desk. What the heck? What was my husband up to? (20 comments)
Some folks are just plain rude and nasty. I was shocked by the nastiness of the comments and how they just kept getting worse as the thread went on. It was like a bunch of high school bullies beating up on a poor gal who was probably having a bad day and said something just a little off. Not that off to deserve such a beating. Good Grief. And this - on my 2nd day in a new group - no not on Active Rain! Being a straight shooter I announced (52 comments)

Moon Valley Cafe - Good Eats & Good Neighbors! - 02/05/11 07:04 PM
Moon Valley Cafe - Good Eats & Good Neighbors! The Moon Valley Cafe has opened it's doors much to the delight of the residents of the Moon Valley area in Phoenix. It closed down about 6 months ago and that left many of us very hungry for breakfast and lunch and missing our neighborhood cafe. Imagine my surprise when I first saw the GRAND OPENING SOON SIGN - Moon Valley Cafe. I had to stop in and see what was going on! The new owner, John Marshall, said (7 comments)

Saturday Sunrise in Phoenix Waking up in Phoenix during the winter months before 6:00 it's still dark outside so I don't see many sunrises. Today I was lucky to sleep in a little later - and WOW - when I walked into the kitchen to get some coffee brewing I looked out and ran for my camera. I didn't want to miss this beautiful site! It didn't take more than 5 minutes or so....and it was gone. Must be my lucky day! And I just had to share it with you!
