Today while going through some photos for Dick Greenberg Photo Contest I ran across fun photos of a Mix N Mingle mixer (which clearly had a St Paddy's Day theme going on)! What I noticed is that everyone in the photo is smiling and laughing. We had so much fun hosting these business events once a month at our home for 5 years or so.
Going through photos sure brought back lots of good memories. We typically had between 40 and 60 people each month. And now I look back and think - that was a lot of work putting them on … (19 comments)

Networking has been an important part of my business model from my first years in the real estate business. I was fortunate to have a broker/mentor show me the ropes and get me involved (whether I wanted to or not). He also pretty much made me (or so it seemed at the time) to join committees as well as volunteer to be an ambassador or whatever else they needed. I've belonged to a couple of Chambers and other network groups and have also have created successful network groups. It's no surprise that networking at this point is 'fun' to me. There is absolutely no question in my mind how priceless my network is and has been for my entire career in real estate. Fortunately I learned early on the why and how of connecting and building a network from my Father. He was a master network. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, about anything, anywhere in the world. As kids it used to drive us crazy when he strike up a conversations but now we all 'get it'!

Many people think Scottdale is just a big desert but I'm here to say - check out our beach! The surf waves are just behind that island......really they are! The "BEACH" is where ActiveRainers love to meetup and exchange ideas and have a lot of fun! It's a laid back casual event. And..... I have a feeling Rob Clang has something up his sleeve to make it so much fun! Rob always does! Thanks Rob!
