In an effort to plan for community growth, The Hoover School Board has approved the following realignment plan for Hoover Schools when students return to classes in August after summer break: 
 
Hoover High School students in grades 9 through 12 will attend the main high school campus at 1000 Buccaneer Drive.
 
The building at 6055 Fleming Parkway that has served as the freshman campus for 4 years will become Bumpus Middle School - grades 7 and 8.

I'm heading to Memphis today to spend the weekend going to Molly's dance competition.  A few weeks ago her team traveled to Nashville where they won Platinum 1st Overall Teen Small Group!  They were so excited! Here is a photo my daughter took of them hamming it up after their big win.....

Last month when winter weather hit Alabama, Rod Palmer's hydroponic farm in Gadsden suffered the loss of six greenhouses that collapsed under the weight of snow and ice.  Owl's Hollow Farms supplies fresh and organically grown vegetables to many of Birmingham's finest restaurants and markets, including Urban Cookhouse in Homewood.  Not only did he lose an entire crop of lettuce, but the greenhouses were not covered by the insurance company.

Saturday evening Mike and I had dinner at The Silver Coin Indian Grill and as always it was very good!  This was the first time I tried the Lamb Vindaloo and he chose the Karahai Ghosh (another lamb dish).  We also got an order of Spinach Kulcha (leavened wheat bread stuffed with spinach and spices), which is so tasty and perfect for sopping up the all the yummy sauce!
